Part 8: A Confession

A few days have passed by quickly, the expedition is drawing near. Levi was very busy, and he had to keep the preparations in track.

“Captain!!” A familiar voice of a female called him. He turned to her and saw Petra. “Oh… Petra.”

“I’m done with the papers you told me to finish!” She enthusiastically stated.

Levi simply nodded. “Good then.”

“I’ll be carrying them in your office now!”

“No. I’ll let Erd do it.”

“No Captain, I can do it!! It’s fine!”

“Erd!!” Levi called.

Erd entered after Levi’s call. “What is it Captain?”

“Please take the papers Petra is holding to my office.”

“B—but…”

“No buts.” He insisted, and Levi took the papers she was holding and then gave it to Erd.

Petra bowed her head down a little. “You really didn’t have to…”

Levi sighed. “Don’t worry about it. Anyway, wait for me outside, I want to bring you somewhere.”

Petra was dumbfounded. “W—what?”

“Wait for me outside.”

“B—but…”

“Don’t worry I say. I’m almost finished with the job. Just wait for me outside.” Levi insisted, and Petra obediently went outside.

As he was continuing his job, Levi was thinking. “Where the hell should I bring her? Ugh…”

“Are you having dilemmas Captain Levi?” Erd suddenly went in.

“What do you mean?” He narrowed his eyes on Erd.

Erd just laughed. “I heard your conversation with Petra earlier, and I heard you want to bring her somewhere. And a while back, I also heard you scowling at yourself, muttering where you should bring her?”

“Just shut up Erd.” He barked at Erd, since he was getting a bit annoyed.

“Well, this is really peculiar of you to do! But anyway, if you want to bring her somewhere, try bringing her to a fancy place where the both of you would really spend your time together. Besides, the expedition is already 4 days away. You have to savor the moment of rest, Captain.” Erd stated again. Levi was pissed off again. He narrowed his eyes on Erd again, but it wouldn’t work on him.

Levi snapped his tongue. “Can you please suggest me a fancy place you know about?” He said it quite hesitantly, since right now, is a pretty awkward question for him to ask. “What the hell is coming out of my mouth?”

“Are you serious Captain?” Erd asked him with a tone of surprise in it.

Levi put his palm in his face and then snapped his tongue. “Erd Gin… are you shitting me? You little shit.” Levi asked in a quite frustrated tone.
