Roderich Edelstein was sitting in the back of his car waiting grumpily for his boyfriend to finish up the shopping. Gilbert was at Safeway shopping and Roderich was waiting in the car because he had an awful headache at the moment. He put on the classical music station on the radio and sighed content with the selection.
"Beethoven's 9th Symphony, a true classic." He said in bliss. He hums quietly along with it retreating into his own little musical world.
That didn't last long, because a certain Prussian kicked open the drivers side door. "I'm back!!" He exclaimed, a bit loudly than Roderich would have liked. Hearing this, the Austrian jumped slightly and hit his head on the roof of the car. He rubbed his head and sighed in annoyance. "I've realized..." He mumbles, adjusting his glasses. Gilbert grinned and opened the back door to plop the groceries down.
"Gilbert," questioned Roderich. "Why aren't there very many bags? What did you purchase?"
Gilbert smirks and slams the back door to their car shut, getting in the front.
"Let's think~" he coos, turning off the radio to Roderich's dismay. "I bought a chocolate cake because I wanted to, I bought... Some fluffy bread, and more butter, and eggs and milk and lots of sausages."
Roderich nods softly, deciding that his lover hadn't messed up the list after all.
"Did you buy any... Flour? And vegetable oil?" He questioned cautiously.
Gilbert smiled and nodded at Roderich. "Of course! Why wouldn't I? It was on the list."
Roderich sighed peacefully.
"Thank you, Gilbert." He muttered, leaning over to plant a soft kiss on the Prussian's cheek. Gilbert's face lit up with a grin and a blush, proud that he had pleased his dear boyfriend. He started the car and they both began the drive home.
"You know," said Gilbert softly. "How about I make dinner tonight? You can rest. You seem so tired." He stated to his lover.
The Austrian thought about this and nodded. "You know what? That sounds great. Thank you." He agreed, surprised at how generous his lover was being.
Gilbert nodded. "Of course!!" He exclaimed. "And then-- a nice back massage."
Roderich blushed softly at the thought. "That sounds nice. M-may I request it be sooner? My head hurts so much."
"Oh, of course!" He said softly, carefully watching his volume as to not hurt his lovers ears.
Roderich sighed content and leans back in the chair as they approach their house. Once they had arrived, Gilbert unloaded all of the groceries so Roderich could rest on the couch.
