•Alexia's POV•
"Mom I know! Be safe, focus on schoolwork, stay social, and don't do anything you would regret! This is the fifth time you've told me!" I say with a chuckle.
"Well I just wanna make sure my little baby is safe" she replies before tugging my cheek a bit.
"I'm 18. I'm not a baby anymore!"
"I know, I know. It's just hard to let you go because you're always going to be my baby."
"I'll make sure to visit as often as I can. I love you and I'll miss you." I say as my cheeks were trembling, and my eyes were daring to let tears flow.
"I love you and I'll miss you every second of every day." She replies and lays a soft, feathery kiss on my cheek. She clears her throat before continuing. "Now, let's get your stuff packed in your car, I'm sure Dylan and Rachel are waiting".
"Oh yeah! I totally forgot that today is my first day of college!" I say squealing. I pick up my backpack and two suitcases while my mother picks up my three extra bags. We lug them outside and fit them into my trunk with just enough space for Dylan and Rachel's bags. I hop into my car, I grip the steering wheel as I look back at my mom standing on the porch. I could tell she was fighting back tears as I lifted one of my hands and waved goodbye. She did the same and eventually I turned back around, put my key into the ignition, and started the route to Dylan and Rachel's houses. As I pulled up I could see them both standing on their lawns, tapping their feet and checking the time until they see me arrive. I jump out of my car as they drop everything and we all join in to create a group hug. After what seems like minutes we detach from each other and we start filling up the rest of my trunk with their stuff. I shut the trunk when Rachel says, "Hey Dylan?"
"Yeah?" She replies.
"SHOTGUN!!"
"WHAT THE FUCK! NOT FAIR!"
Rachel laughs to herself as she climbs into the passengers side. Dylan, however, mopes to the backseat. We all shut our doors in unison and I start my car up.
"I swear if there is nOT any cute boys or girls at school I will sHOOT myself" Dylan explains.
"Woah there, it's a fucking huge campus, I think we will be fine. The rEAL question is ROOMMATES" I answer.
I hear multiple profanities leave both of their mouths including mine.
We get interrupted by my car making a tight U-turn. "Oops shit, sorry. I missed the turn for our college" I say. Soon enough I roll into a parking spot and we all take deep breaths, preparing ourselves for what's to come.AH YAY IM SO EXCITED FOR THIS STORY!!! I'm probably going to be updating later today also because I'm so eager and excited!! - M🌙
