His eyes fluttered open as the sound of the alarm rang. Dame yawned and tapped the snooze button.

He then fell back into a world of sleep and rested untill the alarm rang once again.

This time, Dame decided to get out of bed and check the time. He looked at the digital clock on his wooden  nightstand. The clock was black and the red numbers had read 7:30.

"Oh hell, I'm late for the bus!" Dame yelled, waking his mother in the process.

His feet quickly ran down the stairs, turned left into the kitchen, and the left once more into the bathroom. Dame got dressed at his fastest speed and ran out towards the bus.

"Oh, Dame, don't forget your lunch!" Mrs. Night shouted.

Dame looked in his mothers direction only to see her holding a brown paper bag. He sighed deeply and ran towards her. Mrs. Night's son grabbed the bag, darted back towards the bus, and shouted, "Love you Mom! See you after school!"

"I love you too, my buttercup!" His mother replied.

Dame could see his mom waving goodbye as the bus started to move forward. He watched her disappear as the bus continued to move farther and farther away from his house, and closer to his brand new school.

A teenage boy, who sat in the back of the bus, started to laugh and said mockingly, "I love you too, my BUTTERCUP!"

Dame tried his best to ignore the anoying boy amd continued to look out the window. As more of the boys voice filled Dame's ears, the more he wanted to jump off the bus.

Rick, the boy who had kept bugging Dame, had realized that he was not paying attension. Rick moved toward the front of the moving bus and leaned over Dames seat.

Dame looked up and politely asked, "Could you please stop making fun of my mother?"

Rick gave out a harsh look and snapped back, "Who are you to tell me what to do? I'm the boss of this bus, and you can't fix that!" He laughed as he slapped Dame across his face.

A large black and blue bruse laid on his cheek. The laughter got louder as other students began to laugh. "Please, I'm begging you!" Dame pleaded.

"I bet your mom's a whore! She sure wears stuff like it. And I think she's weird because she calls you buttercup!" Rick continued to tease.

Dame felt like crawling into a hole and dying. He wanted to shut the whole world out right now. His hands zipped open his book bag and grabbed a pair of head phones along with an ipod. Dame turned the iPod on and turned on a familiar tune.

"You're a mess,
Tangled with your confidence,
You think you haven't sinned,"

Before the bruised boy could finish listening to the song Rick grabbed both his head phones and iPod.

"Hey give me that back!" Shouted Dame. The pain from his cheek was no longer felt. All he felt was a form of rage.

"Heh heh, you hate that, huh?" The bully asked harshly. Rick held the headphones and iPod out of an open window, threatening to drop them.

"P-please! I'll do anything you want!" Dame cried.

And with that said Rick dropped them, causing them to get run over by the bus wheels.

No one was there for him. Not one person. Not a single soul. Even the bus driver did nothing!

Suddenly, this rage grew. Something inside of Dame snapped. Dame quickly punched Rick in the mouth, making it bust open.

Rick, bloodied and raged, kicked his victim in the stomach. Dame spat out blood and it just so happened to land on the older boy.

The bully shouted, "You're going to regret that you little bitch!"

Dame smiled at the sight of this boy bleeding. It was as if Dame wasn't there anymore. He slowly walked up to Rick, towering above him.

He started to continuously punch Rick in the face until he stopped breathing. Dame finally snapped back into reality, realizing what he had done.

Rick had been killed. His body was bloodied. His skull was bashed open. His breaths were not present.

Dame sat down and hugged his knees, terrorized of what he was seeing. Soft cries filled the air as eyes laid on both him and the dead carcass. His eyes teared up as they dug into his knees.

"Hello this is 911, what is your emergency?" A voice from the drivers phone said.

"I just witnessed someone being killed! My bus is on Caylub Street near the high school!" The bus driver yelled into the phone.

"We're on our way, stay calm!" The woman on the other side said.

Dame had heard the bus driver dial the digits even before he called, but couldn't move. He was too frightened to even speak.

'W-what did I j-just do?!' He thought to himself, 'I-I'll never live a normal l-life now! W-why was I so s-stupid?!'

'You are stupid,' A voice said.

No one else seemed to hear it. It was as if no one was there. But he knew someone was.

Before Dame could reply, the sound of sirens filled his ears. He still couldn't move. No matter how hard he tried, nothing worked. There was no hope. No esacape. No chance.

They put him in a straight jacket and a padded room. Dame didn't accept any food nor water. All he did was sit in the corner and tremble in fear.

Whatever happened on that bus, it wasn't him. That was not Dame. He knew he would never do anything like that, no matter what happened.

He heard a passing conversation in front of his cell door.

"This is Damen Nightfall Nights cell?" A low male voice asked.

"Yes Doctor Mike, but be careful, he did bite the last doctor who came in here." A nurse said.

'I bit someone?' Dame asked himself, 'I don't remember biting anyone...'

He heard the door open.

"Hello, Damen. I'm your therapist, Doctor Mikel, but you can call me mike." He said joyfully.

Dame just sat in silence until Doctor Mike piped out, "I'll see you every Monday and Wednesday."

Then he left, leaving Dame in the padded room alone.

"I'm not alone." Damen whispered to himself.

On the other side of the cell in the corner, was a blurred figure with a wide smile.

"N-no! Don't take me away! I won't let you! I won't let you fix me!" He shouted.

The figure entered Dames body as if it possessed it.

"You can't fix what hasn't been broken." The figure mumbled, "Now we all need to introduce ourselves. Since I already know you, I'll just go first. I'm Sparrow, Sparrow the Dark Soul..."
