"Hayley Andrea West, I can't believe you got into a fight!"
"I am so disappointed you. I trusted you and let you go out but this is how you repay me?"
My parents bellowed at me.
"You haven't even heard my side-"
"There are no sides, you got into a fight and behaved immaturely it's as simple as that."
I sat on the couch with my legs crossed and rolled my eyes. My parents didn't let me say a whole sentence since I got back from the night club. I could see the frustration in their eyes, my dad kept pacing in the room with his hands running through his hair and my mum looked at the floor as if she was in a trance. They both hadn't changed since they'd got back: dad was in his suit and tie but without the blazer and mum with a light blouse and grey, cotton skirt.
The house was lit dimly but the darkness outside made it seem brighter. The house was moderately big but not big enough to be classed a mansion, mum and dad were pretty rich but not that rich, my dad was a lawyer and my mum was one too I guess they wanted me to be one in the future too.
"I don't know what to do with you, I honestly don't," my dad glared at me, it was a haunting glare which sent a shudder down my spine.
"You know the usual; grounded for two weeks, no technology, no Ethan etc. etc."
"No. This is a little more serious than anything you've ever done," my mum finally snapped out of her trance and looked up at my dad.
"Even worse than shoplifting Hayley," my dad claimed.
"I didn't even shoplift that was Nikki, she slipped some-"
"Okay; what is it with you and Nikki, why can you just get along with each other? You used to," my mum finally glared at me.
"Yeh, before she turned evil, Why don't you get it? She doesn't like me and is trying to ruin-"
"Hayley go to your room," my dad declared.
"Eurgh," I rolled my eyes, uncrossed my legs and slipped on my fuzzy slippers near the bottom of the couch. I made my way up the stairs but I stopped near the top so I could overhear mum and dad's conversation.
"I just don't know what to do with her, I just," my mum squealed while rubbing her forehead.
Dad walked towards her and sat next to her. He began rubbing her knee back and forth.
"You know, I was searching on this psychology website and there was something about how a child's surroundings may affect their behaviour."
Mum looked at him in confusion,
"What do you mean?"
"Maybe if we... Send her away for a while it may help,"
"Send her away?" Mum replied.
They couldn't send me away, I know they might want to get rid of me but send me away? The words echoed in my head as I walked into my bedroom. The rays of light from different lamp posts were seeping into my room through the blinds making my room glisten with the light bouncing off my mirror. Even though it wasn't too dark, I turned the light on making my mini chandelier shine. I sat on the edge of my bed and then leaned back. I was lying on my back while staring at the ceiling. I couldn't get it out of my head. Where would they send me if they did? The thoughts were spinning in my head.
'Ring, Ring, Ring'
'Apple bottom jeans, boots with the fur..."
My phone vibrated on my bed whilst playing my ringtone Low by Flo rida. I liked my club music. I didn't answer it at first and just considered it background music for my thoughts but it rang again so I had ought to answer.
