"You're WHAT?!?!" I yell at the top of my lungs, disbelief written across my face.
"I'm moving soon. I was going to tell you earlier, but I forgot," she said like it was nothing.
"HOW COULD YOU FORGET SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!"
"I don't know. Hey, what are you doing on Saturday?"
"DON'T CHANGE THE SUBJECT! WHY ARE YOU MOVING?!"
"You know my mom is crazy, right?" I nod, anger on my face because she didn't tell me sooner. "Well, I'm moving to my dads house so that I don't die or something."
"Oh, well, you could've just said that and I would've been fine," I said, calming down.
"But where's the fun in that? Anyways, answer my question: are you doing anything Saturday?"
"Um, I don't think so. Why? Are you planning something?"
"Yeah, I was wondering if Julia and I could come over and spend the night."
"Maybe. I can ask my mom. Well, I gotta he going, see you later?" I say, about to end the FaceTime call.
"Sure, byeeeee!" She said, dragging out the "e".
"Bye, ya weirdo." I hung up the phone and called my mom, who was out shopping.
"Hey, mom?" I said after she answered.
"What do you want Danah?"
"Um, can we get some bubble tea later? And can Melissa and Julia come over Saturday to spend the night?"
"Umm... yes to both questions. Is that all?"
"Yeah! Thanks mom!"
"K, bye. I'll be home in 30 minutes." She said before hanging up. It was Monday and we had a day off from school, so I'm extremely bored.
I grabbed my laptop and started searching random things, clicking around, trying to find something funny to send to my friends. Eventually, I feel a bit tired and decide to take a nap. Wow, what an eventful day.
~~~boring time skip to next day~~~
It's morning on a weekday, so I have to get up. I do my routine and get ready for school. Man, it feels like a Monday. Ugh.
I text Julia, asking if she wants to come to my house on Saturday. She didn't have any plans, so she said yes. I got on the bus and waited until we got to school.
I walked in and went over to the chairs and benches to sit down and wait for my friends. After a few seconds, Melissa walks in. She saw me, shortly after I saw her, and walked over to where I was sitting.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Well, my mom said yes to you and Julia coming over on Saturday, and Julia said that she'll come, too."
"That's cool. Hey, have you seen Mary recently?" She asked.
"Who?"
"The new girl, stupid."
"No, and I don't want to. Why'd you ask?" I said, remembering how she was drooling over Oscar. Oscar is mine, not hers. Only mine.
"Well, I talked to her before y'all met her, and she asked me to show her around. That's why. Not every person that looks at Oscar is evil, y'know." I think she just read my mind.
"Woah! How did you know I was thinking that?!"
"I just guessed. Hey! Julia! C'mere!" She said motioning toward us while looking at our friend that just walked in. She walked over to us and sat down.
