Toby's POV

"Toby I said to stay out of my room!!" My older sister Sarah yells. "I haven't been in your room!" I scowl back. I haven't been. Why would I have any interest to be in my 28 year old sisters room. It's not my fault she keeps losing her job and has to live with mom and dad still. "Whatever just stay out of my stuff!" She yells back. I just groan back knowing she can't hear me. I stand up and go over to my book shelf, I grab a book and walk back to my bed.

In my room, my bed is straight across the room when you walk into the door. I have a window a bit to the right of the end of my bed, and in the other corner is where my bookshelf sits. On the wall next to the head of my bed I have a desk for school work. I have some of my sisters old things sitting on the end, on the wall above I have a clock. The wall which also has my door on it there's a mirror. Sitting on my bed I can easily see my reflection.

I look into the mirror back at myself and I vaguely see my eyes, they're green but it's hard to see from this far. I can see my hair though, it's short dark brown. If I grow it out it gets curly, that's why I keep it short. I look away from myself to read my book. Eventually as I read I pass out onto my bed and fall asleep. I lay there on my bed asleep and I dream.

I had a weird dream. My sister Sarah got brought into a labyrinth to retrieve me after she let these weird creatures take me. It felt so real it was almost like a memory. I've had a similar dream before, it was a little different. There was this castle with the same weird creatures and it was mine, I was their king.

I wake up and realize my book is still open lying on my chest. I sit up and look at the time, it's 3 in the morning. I sit up and close my book  and place it back in its spot on the shelf then I walk back to my bed. I feel a little dizzy though and I don't know why. I sit slowly down on my bed but sitting only made it worse. I went downstairs to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Out of the corner of my eye I thought i saw a snow owl but how is the possible?

I figure I'm just tired so I rub my eyes and take my water and go back to bed. I lay down and slowly drift to sleep forgetting about what I thought I saw. I wake up a few hours later at 7 am and go downstairs for breakfast, I spend some time with my parents and sister before coming back up to read and slowly drift off to sleep.

I dream of the owl I saw, well thought I saw. There's something about it that I can't understand. The owl was looking for me for some reason. It was talking to theses creatures asking where I was but no one knew. I don't know why it was looking for me. There's nothing special about me at all. A wake up scared. I thought I felt something touch me.

I look around, sweat pouring down my face and i don't see anything. I hear a noise like someone running. "Who's there!? Show yourself!" I demand. "Yes master Toby!" Someone replies with a high pitched voice. Master Toby? I wonder why would he call me master?? Suddenly something small stands up. It's a little creature I saw in my dream.

I sit up quickly and back my back against the wall on my bed. "Wh-what are you!?" I stuffer. "I'm a goblin sir, I've been sent by Jareth to retrieve you." It says. "Retrieve me? Why?" I reply "Jareth needs you, he needs you to continue his legacy. Take care of us." As it speaks those words I can't think. My mind is racing and I can't think straight, suddenly I can't take it anymore.

"Out! Get out of my room!" I scream. "Leave and never come back! I will never go with you! Itll take Jared or whatever himself to kidnap me to come and get me! Get you and all your other friends away from me!" I scream at him and he cowered then ran under my bed and seem to of disappeared. All of my yelling had woken up my mother who came upstairs to see what was going on.

"Toby Williams! It is 4 in the morning! What nerve do you have to be yelling for this early in the morning! You woke up both your father and I and you know he has to work in only an hour!" She yells at me. "Sorry mom.. There was, I mean I thought there was something in my room. Sorry." I say there's no way shed believe there was a goblin in my room. "Well not thanks to you your father has had no sleep."

Everything's quiet as she just stands by my door looking at me for a few minutes. Then she says, "no more caffeine or food three hours before you go to bed." And with that she slammed my door and went back downstairs to her bedroom with my father. I decided to lay down and clear my thoughts and forget about what it happened that night. Yet everything just came back to me in my dreams.

The Jareth guy was chasing me around my street trying to take me, I said I'd never go with him and he threatened to curse me. I was scared I didn't know what to do. Sarah came out and saw and she told them to take me because she didn't want me around anymore. The Jareth guy turned to Sarah and said holding up some clear ball, "let me have him, all your dreams are in this ball." He says Sarah nodded and he turned into The white owl and we disappeared.

Again I wake up in a shock and I stand  up. I hear something  hitting on my window so I walk over to it and lift the  blinds up and there it is, the white owl from my dreams. It's real, and here right in front of me on the other side of this window.
