You need to know that this is not a love story. Nothing happens between the girl who quietly sat in the corner of the class and the boy who always raised his hand to share his writing. They do not and the school year will end with them being just friends. Sorry to spoil it for you, but that's just how it is. It doesn't mean that I shouldn't tell it just because nothing happened. Not everything needs to be a love story and finish with the main love-interests having feelings for each other. This a story about friendship-a friendship that I'd never give up.
So, without further adieux, lets get started by listing some fun-facts about me dorky self.
1: I dated a douchebag named Fernando. That's all you really need to know about him right now. He'll appear quite a bit throughout the story.
2: Trust issues are present and I tend to screw things up before they screw up on their own. Terrible, I know, but I can't help it. Middle school was a tough time... (I'll explain that later.)
3: High school sucked, so don't think there's gonna be tales about fascinating parties or football games that ended in triumph. I did not "participate". I did have adventures, but I didn't have them as often as everyone else. I'm an introvert, so socializing takes a lot out of me. (Wait 'till you hear about prom night!)
4: Writing is the only thing I've learned to not fuck up. Well, it's the one thing that comes naturally since I was raised in a house full of musicians and artists.
5: I use curse words... Sorry, not sorry.
6: Molly, Sandrah, Alex, Jennifer(Jeni), and Miranda are the 5 best friends a girl could ask for. (They're all girls.)
7: I listen to all sorts of music. I probably won't know a single name if you were to ask me who I listen to though.
8: I'm a major procrastinator. I'll explain that later. (Haha, that was funny.)
9: Being overweight and often the new kid, I don't like attention. I was bullied when I was little but over the years, my worst bully was myself. I'm 220 pounds, by the way.
10: There's nothing cotton candy ice cream from Marble Slab Creamery can't fix. Don't judge me. No, I'm not talking the gross flavor that they use in lollipops and popsicles. I'm talking Blue Bell or Marble Slab cotton candy ice cream.
There you go. There's ten things you need to know about me before this story gets started, which by the way, will start on the first day of senior year. Oh, my name is Elizabeth. Most of my friends call me Eli (pronounced Ellie).
