Roc's POV
I'm on a tour bus with my band and we're going to my home city. LOS ANGELOS, CALIFORNIA!!! Man I'm excited!!! Nothing could ruin this trip.
Newsperson: This just in, a 14 year old girl named Karissa, also known as Kari, was found beaten in the home of her boyfriend 16 year old Gavin Yates. We'll have mpre information as the story progresses.
The tv was just backround noise, but it was loud enough for me to hear that name. When I looked at it, there was a picture of her face, bloody and bruised, but still beautiful. I did this to her. I left her.
Kari's POV
Kari: PLEASE (hacks blood) STOP (hacks blood) IT HURTS!!!
Gavin. He does this to me so often you'd think I'd be used to it by now. I still screach whenever he punches me, but he's the only one that wants me. He punches my stomach, over, and over, and over again. Then, his fist collides with my face and everything goes black.
Mom: honey,wake up.
I wake up to my mom holding my hands. Oh, it was just a night terror. I've been having them ever since Gavin became my boyfriend, but now he's in jail, and all I feel is emptiness.
Mom: Your safe now. He's gone.
Kari: But Mom, you don't understand. Even if it was pain I was feeling, I felt something. What do I do now that the pain is gone?
Mom: Stop hiding from your fears. What are u hiding from anyway?
She had to ask. So many memories of dancing, laughing, love, all the things he let go of to be with his band, and the worst part, he let go of me. I simply answer her
