Chapter 10 - Good Morning

Jade's POV

I rose my head slowly, feeling my neck ache. A blanket was sheltering my body, keeping me safe and warm.

"You can still lay on me.. It's fine.." He murmured.

"Alfie, it's almost four am. We fell asleep here." I looked up at the tree that Alfie leant against. "I think we should get into our tents."

He slowly blinked, opening his eyes. Crickets were chirping, the stars revealed themselves, and the moon shined brightly. "Okay." He sighed. "I'll see you in the morning then?"

"Yeah." I answered as I walked towards the tent he had set up for me. "Night, Alfie."

"Night." He sighed as he zipped up his tent.

Alfie's POV

I wish she hadn't woken up. I know I sound forward, but I liked the way her head fit into the crook of my neck. I liked how we were, cuddled under an open sky. If I could say anything about it, I would. But I don't want to loose her. It's strange how she makes me feel this way so quickly. When I'm with her, my heart starts beating fast, and my words jumble up. Sometimes, I don't even know what I'm saying.. It just happens and I'm not quite sure how.

"Alfie?" Her voice neared. "Are you still awake?" She asked, opening my tent.

"Yeah." I looked at her, "Why?"

She gripped the pillow in her small arms. She was so shy, and so cute.. I just... "I know that this is going to sound really forward.. But.. Can I sleep here? With you?" I'm trying so hard to keep this smile from forming on my face.

Jade's POV

"Can I sleep here? With you?" If I weren't gripping onto this pillow, I would be shaking. It was never like me to be this forward.. But I felt weird without his arms wrapped around me. It was really unexplainable.

"Here?" He pointed to an empty space next to him.

"Y-yeah." I answered, burying my face into the pillow.

"Of course." Alfie scooted aside, making room for me.

Alfie's POV

I couldn't help but watch her as she laid down next to me. She tossed and turned, trying to make herself comfortable. It's as if she was trying to stay away from me, yet be with me at the same time.

"Alfie?" She asked hesitantly.

"I already know." I smiled, wishing she could see I was. As my arms wrapped around her, she nuzzled into my neck.. And as cheesy as it sounds.. I kind of wish that we could just stay like this.. Forever.

Jade's POV

It's as if he was made for hugging--cuddling. It's as if he was enjoying this as much as I was. His arms made me safe and secure. I haven't known him long, which scares me. How could I possibly feel this way about him so quickly?

I felt like I could stay in his arms forever. Were we really this compatible?

I looked up at him, and found his eyes searching mine. It was weird. My heart felt heavy, yet warm and full. A state of bliss, and I couldn't get enough of it.

Before I knew it, his lips crept closer, and closer, and I didn't want him to stop. His lips met mine, and I felt the spark that I thought only existed in movies.
