Mahiru groaned, a slight ringing in his ears. He felt a trickle of blood fall down his face. He gasped. He couldn't look. It brought back horrible memories. "Are you okay?" A voice usually sounding lazy, sounded concerned this time. Mahiru nodded, his head pounding.
"Yeah, I was getting ready for the parade and all of the sudden-" He paused, eyes locking on his friend Ryuusei being put into an ambulance on a stretcher.
"Ryuus-"
"Don't it's still dangerous. Come with me and I'll take you some where safer and then we can regroup with your friends." Mahiru looked at Kuro who found himself feeling sorry for the boy. Mahiru looked back at Ryuusei.
I'll just be a burden. Mahiru thought. He turned around. "Fine then lets go."
