Going through the gates I was awe struck. Standing before me was a white stoned mansion with tall windows. In front of the driveway was a maze of perfectly cut shrubs and flowers of every color and shape.
Pulling up in front of the door, the chauffeur appeared to escort us out. Hitting me was a strong, but at the same time sweet aroma, which I immediately fell in love with. Must be the flowers. I know where I will be spending most of my free time. Taking a closer look at the carefully constructed maze, I saw that it continued into the backyard.
“Earth to Anna, anyone home?” Collin said slightly shaking my arm making goose bumps appear.
Snapping out of my daze, I looked to see everyone staring at me.
“Uhh sorry, really nice place,” I replied with a shy smile. I have never liked a lot of attention.
“Thanks, now William will show you to your rooms,” Dominic said pointing to the chauffeur. I guess he had more than one job. Following William, I saw Collin trying to hold back his laugh as we walked into the house. Turning my head in the opposite direction, I sway my body over to run into his. As a result he hit the wall. Finishing it off I sent him an innocent, questioning gaze. Turning around I then smirked, but it quickly vanished when I felt cold hands on my hips.
Looking behind me and stepping out of the embrace, I sent Collin a shocked expression. Collin’s face, however, had a full grown smirk and his eyes were sparkling with amusement. He then shrugged going for the innocent, questioning gaze I had tried to pull earlier, but the eye gave him away.
“-and this is the kitchen,” William went on.
Looking to my right, I looked into a room about the size of a classroom at Mountain View, which was big. Everything within it was up to date stainless steel.
Being lead through the kitchen I saw a middle aged Italian man sitting and having a cup of coffee at the dinner table.
“This is Pierre the cook, if you ever need anything just eat just ask him”
Walking out the opposite side of the room we were immediately met by some cherry wood stairs, which we walked up.
Landing on the top of the stairs William went on with the supposed “tour.”
“To you left is the reading den, and to your left is Mr. Dominic’s office,” he said while pointing at them.
Looking at the supposed rooms I saw they were both closed. I guess I will have to come back and check them out later. Well at least the reading den, wouldn’t want to be caught in the office.
Going further into the massive house, the flooring changed from cherry wood to a plush, cream carpeting.
“We are now on the side of the house where the bedrooms are located, Mr. Knox this is yours,” Williamson said pointing to one to the left of the hallway. Collin walked forward opening the door to a gorgeously decorated room. His had dark carpeting, with a dark cherry wood canopy bed (without the canopy), and had red and gold satin sheets.
“This way, Ms. Carter,” William said urging with his hand for me to follow him. Hoping to get a room as good as Collin’s, I was expecting to get the one right next to his, but instead we walked right past it and to the next one. William gave me the signal to open it, which I did with open arms.
Opening the door, I was met with a lot of sunlight. Looking into the room, a silver, metal canopy bed met my eyes with a sheer canopy accompanying it. Sitting atop the bed was a light blue bedspread that had a silver shine to it. Looking over to the source of the sunlight, big double doors meet my gaze. Walking to the doors I opened them to stand out on the balcony. Scanning over the view the beautiful maze met me again. Reunited and it feels so good… rang in my head making me laugh.
