HURRY UP HOSEOK WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE!! " I screamed, frantically putting my shoes on.
" YAH WHO'S THE ONE WHO FORGOT TO SET THE ALARM YOU PABO. " Hoseok shouted back, running down while putting on his shirt at the same time.
Hoseok and i were best friends since 2nd grade. Even until now, we attend the same high school and the same class. We live together alone in a house we rented in Seoul when we were posted to a high school in Seoul, to avoid travelling here and there from our hometown. We were so close and we do almost everything together. Playing, teasing, pillow fights, shoppings, cooking, sometimes we even sleep on the same bed. We were so close that people often mistaken us as a couple. Tbh, i secretly wish we were. It has been awhile since i had a crush on Hoseok. The whole class knows that i have a thing for hoseok except himself, pabo urghh. But confessing to him was never my option because i know he don't feel the same way and i don't wanna ruin our precious friendship, i don't wanna risk losing him. Being best friends like this with hoseok was more than enough.
" Last one to reach the classroom pays for lunch!! " hoseok suddenly said and ran off.
" YAHHHHH!!! " i screamed and chased after him.
Hoseok loves to tease me all the time but i kinda like it because i love seeing him smile. It makes me feel special because he don't really talk and smile to other girls. Ahh how i wish we could stay like this forever. But things didn't turn out the way i thought i would be..

Hoseok obviously won the race and was already waiting for me in class. He stuck out his tongue at me when i walked into the classroom and i punched his arm a little before sitting down beside him. ( yes we sit tgt ) The bell rang and our homeroom teacher Mr Kim walked in.
" There'll be a new student joining us today. " Mr Kim said, but the everyone was busy doing their own things and none of them bothered about the new student.
" please come in. "
The moment she stepped into the class, everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at the new student. She has long and black hair, big eyes, skinny legs, she was what people call perfection. I turned to look at hoseok and he was too, staring at her.
" Annyeong! My name is Eun Ri and i'm a transferred student. Let's get along well. " She introduced and flashed a smile at everyone. Goshh her smile was gorgeous and she has a beautiful voice too. The boys in my class were clapping and whistling away, mesmerised by her beauty. I have to say, i don't like her. Not because she was pretty, but because she gives off a really bitchy and evil vibe and i know that somehow something bad will happen with her around. Well, my instincts never go wrong.
" please take a seat. " instructed Mr Kim. She walked towards me and occupied the empty seat infront of me. Great. Of all places, urghh.
" Hi i'm Eun Ri. " she smiled at me and said.
" I know. I heard you. I'm (y/n) " i replied coldly.
For the entire lesson, hoseok couldn't take his eyes off Eun Ri. I was pissed.

It was finally lunch break so hoseok and i headed to the cafeteria as usual and sat at our usual spot to eat.
" Can i sit here? "
I looked up and it was Eun Ri. Nobody would ever asked to sit at our table. It was clear that nobody wants to disturb me and hoseok. Nobody but Eun Ri. I rolled my eyes and said, " N- "
" YES. Of course.. Please sit. " hoseok said. I was shocked. Eun Ri sat down to eat and she started chatting with Hoseok, ignoring my presence. I couldn't stand them any longer so stood up and walked away.

That day was horrible. Hoseok and Eun Ri were smiling away in class and chit chatting among themselves. I went home after school right away after Hoseok told me that he was going to hang out with Eun Ri to help her catch up with the topics she missed out.
" Helping her with her studies? MORE LIKE DATING. WHATEVER HOSEOK. " i screamed and slammed the door shut. I've never been so angry and jealous before, it kinda scared me too. But i was really upset, and scared. At this rate, i will lose hoseok. Why am i soh afraid to lose him even though he isn't mine? Dammnn i feel so pathetic. I thought for awhile and decided to confess my feelings to hoseok when he comes home before it was too late. I waited and waited and it was already pass midnight. I was about to doze off when i heard someone opening the door. I jumped up and walked towards hoseok.

" okayy but i'll go first. (y/n).. You know Eun Ri? She's so beautiful and the moment i laid my eyes on her this morning i fell for her. After hanging out today and studying, i find that she's a really nice and kind girl. I couldn't help it and confessed to her. And.. And she said she has feelings for me too and agreed to be my girlfriend (y/n) !!! "
" ohh.. C-congrats hoseok ah.. " was my reply.
My heart sank. No. It shattered, into million pieces. It was so painful to hear that hoseok loves eun ri, and it hurts even more to know that they are tgt now.
" yah what's with your expression? Shouldn't you be happy that your best friend's confession was a success? "
" huh..? I am!! I am so happy for you hoseok~ last long with eun ri okay? "
" haha okay! Btw what did you want to tell me? "
It was too late to confess, but i guess it'll be better this way. Hoseok didn't love me anyway, we probably couldn't even be friends anymore if he knows i love him..
" uhh nth actually! Hoseok ah i'm really tired so i'm going to bed. Good night! "
I faked a smile and pretended i am okay, trying my best not to let the tears fall till i reach my bedroom. I broke down. My best friend. My first love. He loves someone else. Yeahh best friends.. That's all we can ever be. I thought and cried into my bedsheets so that hoseok won't hear me. That night, i fell asleep, tired from crying so much.
