Chapter 12.5: A Mysterious Performance

Donovan's POV:

Alex and I were running to the Flower Festival, Irina talked about a performance by Aria. I saw a video of hers once, she was quite mystical, she has a beautiful voice.

"Hey, look! Not much further ahead!" said Alex, who was not tired of running all the way from work to hear. Not even a drop of sweat was on his skin.

I was quite tired and sweaty, but as soon as we both sat down in some seats that had cushions on them, I managed to relax a bit.

There was a stage set up there, it was a circle with no ceiling, just a center piece there. There must be a trap door somewhere around the center as there is no way she could get in there otherwise.

I wond- my thoughts were interrupted by Alex.

"Aren't those Irina and Sawyer over there?" He pointed at the bottom seats on the on the opposite side of the stage.

"Wait... they are! That aside you seem to be in a better mood than usual..." I looked at him with a stare that questioned his actions and as if I accused him of something like having a crush or another thing.

"No, I'm not! You're such a dumbass.". He said that in a serious voice, then laughed as he pushed me to the side and I punched his shoulder solidly. We were doing a fight like that of two brothers.

"Oh, not a weak flower anymore?" He smiled and I was looking for the right words.

"I'm sorry little miss dramatic, every plant grows you know, if you give them the chance that is!" I was laughing at my own words, that must have been the worst insult in history.

Alex laughed. "Well, it can't grow forever, after all, it's a flower, not a tree sapling!" He laughed and so did I, but he moved to grab something from the floor and... it was a water bottle and he splashed me with water! I couldn't stop laughing.

"You're the real dumbass here, Alex!" We both laughed and I dried myself up a bit with a towel I had in my bad from work.

Just then... the speakers turned on, finally!

"Welcome everyone to the Flower Festival! This year we have a very special guest, the 14 year-old beautiful and mysterious Aria with her dance, while singing with those mysterious words, well if you can call them words! Truly a thing of a mystery that you'll experience right now!"

I knew it! Smoke came out of the stage and a trapdoor opened as Aria appeared from under the stage. At that moment I noticed a lot of cherry blossom flowers on it.

Aria begun humming and dancing around beautifully, with a lot of grace, as violins played. She was wearing a white flower patterned dress, it was a bit transparent, she had no shoes on, and had a bracelet with a pink stone on her wrist.

At a time she sung meaningless words, that... weren't even words, just random sounds she created with words she made up. They were mysterious and beautiful, just like her voice and dance.

She spun, and suddenly she stopped in the center of the stage, she moved her hair revealing a grey left eye. She has heterochromia iridium?! It reminds me of... ALAIN. HIS NAME WAS ALAIN, HOW COULD I FORGET?! MY BEST FRIEND'S NAME IS ALAIN! Alain, my childhood friend has Alexandria's Genesis, he has purple eyes. But... I should snap out of this...

She moved her right hand up after she touched the stone in her bracelet and it begun shining in a pink light, her gray eye began shining pink and so did her right arm's glove. She spun around and... ALL THE FLOWERS ON THE STAGE BEGUN FLOATING AROUND IN THE AIR AND MOVING WHERE HER RIGHT HAND COMMANDED THE LEAVES TO!

It is so amazing... she actually has some sort of telekinesis! Just like in the videos... that's why people said she's so mysterious and supernatural.

She became enveloped in the light as well and she floated a few feet up in the air. The flowers covered her completely and the she moved them up and got herself down to the floor, then she stopped the pink glow and her eye became gray again. The flowers fell down again, and she stopped singing and dancing!

That was truly... amazing! Who's this Aria? And how did she do that! "WOOOO, ARIA!!!"

Everyone was clapping and cheering for her as the flowers fell on everyone.

Irina and Sawyer were cheering too, and Alex couldn't help but smile a bit.

"She's truly talented, and... who the hell can do something like that? Use some sort of telekinesis. She must really be special. I enjoyed her performance, it was nice. " Alex actually acknowledged her talent, it made me happy.

"Yeah, she is!" We both smiled at each other, until Aria begun talking.

"Thank you everyone! The gift exchange will be soon!" With that, Aria left the stage.

"Let's go get some ice cream and go to the hot springs after that!" Alex had suggested doing that instead of the gifts because we wouldn't have time to give them in for the gift exchange.

I got some Vanilla ice cream, and he got a Chocolate ice cream.

"Isn't this great?" I asked happily, then licked my ice cream.

"Hm... it's actually quite nice, I had never tried ice cream from this place before!"

"It's totally worth it, always!" We smiled at each other, and we were almost finished so we left the store and headed for the hot springs.

The hot springs were great, but we didn't spend much time there. Alex was the one who suggested we should go, and it was a nice place, I'd return.

And so, we went our separate ways after having a great day overall, at work, and after work!
