CHAPTER SEVEN ;

(Alexa's pov)

I slip out of the kitchen and through the drunk and sweaty bodies. I make sure Dylan wasn't anywhere near where I was and then I went over and sat on a couch in the corner.

I sat there for a good five minutes just sipping on my water until I saw Dylan looking around. I hate doing this, I really do but letting everyone see me with him is not happening.

I crouch down and meander through all of the people peaking up ever now and then. I go upstairs and I see Glen Coco standing standing on the balcony.

I walk out there to him. Glen was the most popular guy at school. Probably the most popular guy in all of the High schools in L.A. Glen and I are pretty close friends, we haven't hung out in a while but we have a few times and gotten along really well.

"Hey Glen." I say leaning on the balcony and looking forward.

"Alexa, hey. How have you been? I haven't talked to you in so long." He says giving me a tight side hug.

"I have been great. The question is how have you been? We haven't hung out in a month." I say.

"Ah, I've been okay. I actually recently just broke up with Wendy because she cheated on me." Glen says.

"Wendy cheated on you. Good lord, she has so balls." I say wide eyed.

Nobody messes with Glen Coco. He knows people, and he has a ton of money.

"Yeah, she cheated on me with that dumb dude Jacob. Like what the hell? What does he have that I don't? I was just like, you have got to be kidding me." He vents.

He then looks at me with a sort of sly smile. "Sorry for venting. Your like the only one who cares about me." He says.

"Awe it's no problem. You need to let these things out or they could hurt you in the future." I say.

"So hey, I know that we have hooked up before, well quite a few times, in the past so I was wondering if you wanted to tonight? Just take our minds off things." He says.

Yes, you heard him correctly. I have hooked up with Glen Coco quite a few times. We just connect on a certain level that we don't connect with anyone else.

"Yes, I need to escape someone anyways." I say.

"Really who?" He asks.

"Well, I'm sure you will know who I'm talking about when I say 'that country boy'." I say.

"You mean you are being followed by that super annoying, unpopular, might I add fucked up, country boy?" He asks.

"Pretty much. I don't know how to say that I don't want to be like friends with him. He just, I don't know." I sigh.

"Come on. Let's go to a room and take our mind off of things." He says.

"Wait!" I say suddenly bursting out.

I had the BEST idea. Glen and I could pretend to date and that would show Dylan that I don't care about him.

"What?" He asks jumping.

"I know what we can do to get Dylan away from me and also make Wendy sorry for what she did to you." I say.

"T-That's perfect. See this is why I like you so much." He smirks.

I chuckle. "Now, Dylan is here and I know Wendy wasn't about to miss a party, so we are going to have to pretend at all times." I say.

"That's understandable. Let's start right now." He says and takes my hand in his.
