Message From the Author: This was based on a nightmare I had awhile back. I know it feels like H.P. Lovecraft in the way it is formatted, but at the time this was written that feeling was strong and I hadn't intended to make it anything like his works. In fact: I hadn't read his works until someone approached me about it that is why I am posting this warning. The gulf crisis had happened and was on the news, papers, radio, and regular daily talk. I know it might be from subconscious worry, but I wanted to share this with someone. It's very rough, but polished rough since the dream was short; so is this story. If you like it I will develop it and continue on. If you wish to bare criticism be gracious and kind, I need help not someone getting upset and harsh over something simple. Offer suggestions and changes not just a rant. Anyplace, person, or situation is entirely fictional and not intended to bare any similarities to anyone or anything.

As Of Now

It started out, when I heard screams, tidal waves crashing against the shores. Static. News reports, newspapers all over the USA. All focusing on the same thing. A Monster was found. At first, it was innocent, you know a Godzilla type scenario, and they let it be, watched it and waited. This continued on, until one day someone went into the water, The Gulf of Mexico to be precise. Their feet burned off like it had turned to ash the person was quarantined. Static.

News reports say: "All Beaches in the Gulf ranging from Texas towards Florida are no longer safe! Anyone within five miles of all beaches are quarantined! Animal rescue squads are doing their best to save the sea life and unknown creatures! We need volunteers!".

Static. I'm there, on the beach, looking out, the water. It looked so safe an inviting. I start to move towards the water, but stop at the edge suddenly feeling sick to my stomach and nervous I felt wrong. Something raises its head up. It looked like it had been a wondrous creature at one point. Now looking damaged and spiteful, bleeding, skull cracked open baring the insides that were only protected by a membrane. Static.

"The Bloop Sea Monster is no longer friend, now enemy, avoid the ocean period. Action by our government is now being taken. Anyone five Miles near the ocean please, move inward, Red Cross will pay for all expenses."

Static. I'm there again, a part of the rescue effort, the Bloop Creature is thrashing and screaming wishing to escape it's confined area as its wounds kept petrifying the smell was awful, and it was now covered in what looks like blood clots and infected scabs and gouges in its skin.

It whispered, "Death, Destruction Destroy."

No one could even touch it with the fear of their flesh rotting off, it had become nothing more than a virus to the area. The breath alone from this creature so toxic it would kill you in three minutes even if you only had a 50 second exposure without some sort of mask. Static. The creatures flesh, revealing it's innards now in certain areas, slowly falling out. Brain matter spilled from its head every time it looked to its side, organs decaying due to the infections it had held in the injuries. The slime and much almost have it covered and can't be removed. Efforts to rescue it were futile, nothing can be done, we leave it be in hopes it will heal we could not risk destroying it without destroying he entire area. Anyone who tried to help it, got eaten or died due to sickness, as if it had a hunger that couldn't be fed. Static.

I'm at home now, news reports state, "Everyone 20 miles inland die, drop dead for no explainable reason other than an 'unknown virus'. Water Systems damaged. Can't be cleaned or restored, not inhabitable. Plants dead as well as any animals that didn't move north."

Static. More News Reports, video shows the monster crawling on land, Screaming, thrashing, snapping at anything and anyone, the eyes were gouged out now making it blind, it's in a state of disrepair that is so horrifying, even technology couldn't fix it. Eventually flesh, organs and other extremities begin to fall off we never knew where they went. An odd sickness reaches from the coast up to Georgia killing more people as if it were a flu. Damage to the water system was even worse than feared, toxic fumes reach Tennessee, people are warned to stay inside on certain days due to high winds. Static. Everyone is now frantic, as if it was a war zone. Even several News Reporters have lost it, churches pray for someone to come and destroy or save the creature. Nothing changes; it just tries to move upwards, pulling it's mangled body upwards; it collapses still whispering the same three words over and over, the breathing becomes shallow it is close to death. Suddenly, I jolt awake and there it was in my room screaming trying to get at me. I ask it what it wants. And it's the same thing it had whispered as it died, "Death, destruction and Destroy." It had tried to get at me baring it's teeth waste and blood pouring from its gums, and suddenly I hear the alarm clock. I open my eyes, it's morning. Everything is fine... or so it seems...
