Chapter 1: The Visions

"Wait no please dont hurt me no!"
3am
I quickly wake up and pant heavily. I look around my room but I can't see anything in the pitch black darkness.

I sigh, "It was only a dream, but it felt so real." I said leaning over to see what time it is. "Ugh, three in the morning come on." So I lay back down and go back to sleep

6am
"Layla, wake up come up you got to go to school!" I hear a voice and then felt a violent shake.

I turn around to see its my mom, "Mom what time is it?" I said in a sleepy voice.

"Its six o'clock get up." she says with a bit of a temper.

"What! Why didn't you wake me early!" I say jumping from my bed and storming to my closet.

"I've been trying for an hour now." she turns her gaze to me.

"Well its my first day you should have just poured a bucket of water on me, now please leave so I can get dressed ok mom." I give begging face.

"Oh alright your bag is down stairs." she says as she walks out.

I finally get dressed in a pair of jeans, a t-shirt and a denim jacket. I rushed down the stairs grabbed my bag and my keys to my truck screaming "Bye mom see you later!" and run out the door.

6:45am
I pull up to Cate High School, park my truck, and walk into the building. Walking to the office I catch someone's gaze looking at me and they quickly look away. So I continued walking and thought nothing of it.

I walked in the door of the office and then something I've never felt before, I felt this horrible air its like i wasn't suppose to be in there. I started to look around then someone said "Ms. Cornell, is that you?"

"Oh yes, yes that's me." I said in surprise.

"Here is your schedule. Do you need someone to guide you?" she says in a sweet voice yet I still felt uneasy.

"No thank you I can manage." I said politely and left.

Suddenly I felt as if I was knocked in the head and my vision went black. Them in black and white I felt simeones presence behind and I turned around, but no one was there. And my vision went black again.

"Ms. Cornell! Ms. Cornell! Are you ok." someone's voice echoed in my ears.

"Ugh my head" I said looking around "where am I?" I say groaning.

"Your in the nurse's office." a different voice says.

"Ms. Cornell this is Josh, he saw you from the main office and saw you fall so he took you here."

He gives me the same feeling I has in the main office. "Thank you, but now I must get to class." I her and start leaving when someone touches me.

"You stay here I'll tell your teacher where you are. Who's your teacher?" Josh turns me and points me in the direction of the bed.

"Oh no I'm alright." I say turning around and walking out the door.

7:30am
When I found my second period class I opened the door then all eyes were on me.

"Oh, Ms. Cornell correct?" the teacher asked me.

"Yes." I simply reply.

"Ok sit in any open seat." she says and turns back to her work.

I look for a seat in the back and saw one right by the window. When everyone's gaze turned back to there work I started to walk over there when I sat down everyone started to gasp. I looked around at everyone with a crazy look.

"Do you know who's seat that is?" a random boy blurted.

"How would I know who sits here?" I said then it all went quiet.

Then a boy who had just walked in said "Its my seat." he spoke with a deep voice and everyone gasped again.

"Mister Cusher please be seated somewhere else she's a new student."

"Its ok its his seat I had no right." I said politely and started to get up when suddenly I was pushed back down.

"Stay there." his voice sounded as if he growled.

"Um no I good I can move." i said standing once again.

Whispers floated around the class about "what she defined him" and "wow she's brave I couldn't do that"

"I said stay there." he seeped his voice and slowed his words.

"One I said I was good and two I've seem to define who ever you think you are now sit in your seat and I sit in another." I said walking and sitting down in another seat. The classroom went silent some looked at me shocked the others looked at him waiting. But he just sits down.

8:50am
After class I was the last one in the hall looking for my class when I'm feel knocked back again and it all goes black.
Someone pushed me into the lockers and I bleed. It all goes black again this time I'm in the hall sitting there I get up and then out of nowhere I'm shoved.
