"Where are you taking me?" I question Dr. Matthews since he's the leader behind all of this. The joy he must get knowing I'm Marcus' daughter drives me insane.

"Well Miss Knight, you see, Marcus was a very interesting man and I believe he actually had a good side to him before he turned himself into a madman," states the doctor.

"My father was good. He was the best father a child could ever have!" I shout as a tear rolls down my cheek. Hands are gripped around my upper arms as handcuffs are latched around my subdued wrists.

"Take her to Room X. Avery should be awaiting her arrival," calls Dr. Matthews to the two front guards. Nodding in approval, I'm dragged across the pavement back to the window I came out of and escorted carefully into an elevator. Even with the handcuffs on, their grip tightens around my arms. The ride down many levels is not pleasing. Not a single sound rings out among us and I'm afraid to shutter in their presence. I'm scared. As the elevator doors slowly opens, a short red-haired woman greets me when I step across the threshold.

"Hello Miss Knight, how are you today?" she smiles.

"Can it gingerbread. I don't want anything to do with you little shits," I mutter.

"Ah ah ah, that's no way to talk to a lady with the sharp objects," Avery gestures to a table set up in the back of the room.

"And that's no way to show up a lady who knows how to kill someone with her bare hands," I retort.

Avery squinted her large eyes and demanded, "Get her on the table."

In no time flat, I'm hoisted onto the cold, metal surface, the handcuffs removed and my limbs being locked under another set of restraints. The final latch is locked around my neck, limiting my head movement to a minimum.

"What the hell are you planning on doing to me?"

Avery sighs, "Oh just some things."

"I didn't ask for an estimate, what are you going to do to me?" I jerk my body around.

"Shut her up would ya?" Avery blurted out. "Can't keep her damn mouth closed."

"You want to fight me snowball?" I strain my neck to see her.

"Stop talking!" yells Avery.

"Yeah suck my-" I scream.

A huge piece of duck tape is placed over my mouth and yelling is no longer an option at this point. Avery reveals the front of her body, flashing a needle gun with a glass tube holding a red substance. It's fizzing like soda but who the hell knows what it will do to me.

"Don't move," she says to me.

I roll my eyes. Yeah where the frick am I gonna go. I'm shaking so wildly, the table rattles beneath me. I can feel a slight give in the metal cuffs, just not enough to break free of.

Before Avery steps closer, the tape is removed from my mouth and air escapes me. "Why'd you do that?"

"So I can hear you scream when I inject this into your bloodstream."

"You're a psychotic bitch!" I cry over her.

Avery cranes her head close to mine, her eyes flaming. "I don't care."

In the heat of the moment, I don't know what else to do. I'm strapped onto this table without a backup plan. Not that I ever have one anyways. With one chance left, I swing my head back and launch it forwards as hard as I can, hitting Avery straight in the nose.

She stumbles backwards, blood gushing everywhere, but bears no emergency concern. When she removes her hand, I'm shocked.

"Oh shit that's nasty," I chuckle.

Avery scrunches what's left of her nose and continues the process. The needle is just about to be inserted into my arm when the doors suddenly swing open and in rushes a couple of the nurses. The three in the front are unrecognizable by name, just by their faces. My heart pounds faster then ever. They're stopped in fear at what they see. One of them, being Nurse Lily. The guards are signaled to go after them while Avery is left alone with me.

"Now... where were we," grins Avery.

Fear completely engulfs me as I close my eyes tight and wait for the worst to happen. But it doesn't. All I hear is the loud sound of a voice, a thump and a KACHOW! When I open my eyes, nurse Lily stands there, hovered over Avery holding an aluminum bat. She's breathing out of control.

"Bitch better have my money," Lily laughs while unhooking the metal cuffs. One click after the other, I'm freed from a near death experience. I can't walk when I'm put onto my feet so Lily hauls me over her muscular shoulders and carries me out. All feeling in my body is lost, but slowly comes back as I'm rushed down the hall.

"There's not much time left. We got to get you out of here," she doesn't stop running for even a second.

"Why did you come to save me?" I whisper.

"I went up to your room to give you some more of those tablets but you weren't there. I literally searched the entire damn hospital looking for you. I almost had a heart attack," Lily stutters on her words.

"You saved my life back there."

"You're a young girl. You have so much more to see before time is up. Plus, Avery didn't pay me back my $500 yet so she better except a good ass-whooping by the time she wakes up."

I can't help but laugh.

Lily pants, "They're coming soon. We got to hurry."

"But they'll catch you," I say, sadly.

"Don't worry about me sweetie. I'll be fine. It's you who needs to get somewhere safe."

Solid minutes go by while Lily pushes herself closer and closer through the bottom area of the hospital to a set of padlocked doors, the exit.

"Go now!" Lily nudges me outside after entering a code.

I take one last look at her, and dash away from the hospital, back on the road of heartbreak and hate.
