Into the Woods

Erik's POV

I ran into the woods, my head in my hands. Once I was deep in the woods I shifted and went on a run to clear my head. I'm an Alpha, everyone in my pack looks up to me and I managed to ruin my chances with the one girl made for me. I groaned inwardly and headed back to to school to maybe catch the last couple periods, I mind linked my beta Robin ( I am BATMAN)

I swear I just scared the living daylights out of my mate, she must hate me.

Dude I did the exact same thing with Chloe and look at us now, were together and in love

NO, I wasnt stupid enough to ruin my chances with her right off the bat

And with that I blocked him out, I realized I had reached the front of the building and shifted back. I quickly changed behind a tree into my clothes that were previously tied around my foot and walked into the building just in time for 6th period. Most of the class was seated when my beautiful mate walked into the room. Once again the smell of coconut and lavender engulfed me and plastered a huge grin on my face. She sat down next to me, I like to think it was because of my attractiveness and not because it was the only seat left in the room, but thats just me. She started talking to Megan and I eavesdropped easily with my impeccable hearing. A growl escaped my lips when she said she was forced to sit next to me. The one good thing was that I learned her name, Eliza. I loved the way her name sounded when I said it, one day I would win her over.

Eliza's POV

I got through the rest of my day without a hitch, the final bell rang and I headed towards my locker, I was stopped when someone yelled my name. I turned around to see Erik running towards me, "what do you want" I asked, tapping my foot on the tile.

"Well" he stuttered, "I, I wanted to apologize for earlier, I thought you were someone else." I snorted at his obvious lie, though I felt my heart flutter when he stuttered.

"uhuh ..., well Erik, I have to get home" I said turning on my heel and heading towards my locker. I glanced backwards to see a tall blond flirting with Erik and shook my head in disgust. On my way home I cut through the woods to get home quicker, the eerie noises causing me to speed up even more. Suddenly I was knocked off my feet by a giant wolf, and I mean huge! In a second it was on top of me and I could tell my death was imminent. I closed my eyes waiting for the impact when it was knocked off me by another wolf. Since when were wolves in California? The wolf who saved me turned back to me and I found a scream caught in my throat, his eyes looked like Erik's and his body was magnificent. It inched towards me and I blacked out.
