The last goodbye

We raced down the stairs, just as mum was yelling out "TIME FOR PRESENTS!!!!" She screamed at the tippy top of her lungs. Millie and Ava dived head first into a massive pile of presents.
After we were stuffed and had opened all our presents, my mum came out with a small box for me.,I opened it up and it was a beautiful golden locket! She told me I could fill it with whatever photos I wanted.
Then I had an idea! I told everyone (including Kate) to meet me in the garden it two minutes. I quickly raced up the stairs, grabbed my camera and raced back down faster than you can say 'merry Christmas'.
We all gathered round and I took the photo. It turned out wonderfully!

I printed the photo out as soon as possible. As well as a photo of mum and I when is was four. I put them into either side of the heart shaped locket at popped round my neck.

~New Years day~

My family are all going out for a new year breakfast, but I have a headache. I stay behind, alone. Dad, Mum, Pat, Kieran, Will, Millie and Ava all head out. I am a bit tired so I decide to have a cosy nap.

~the next day~

I wake up to find no-one I the house, it's dark and scary. I check the time and my phone says it's the second of January???? 6:00pm. Gee, I knew I was tired, but I didn't' know I was THAT tired!
I try calling my mum, no answer. I try calling my dad, no answer. I try all my brothers, still, no answer. What is going on? I try calling Zoe, she picks up. "Zoe! They all went out for a New Year's Day breakfast, yesterday at 7:00am and now it's today at 6:00pm!!!" I yelled, trying to get my breath. I feel my chest expanding and it feels like flames are trying to escape from every crevice.

"What?? How is that possible? I'll call the police, you just stay calm, I'm on my way" she said with distress in her voice.
