She lit the cigarette in her mouth as she walked down the road in her home town, she only had a month till she had to go back home and live with her grandmother again, so she tried to make the best of the summer.

She was spending a month with her grandfather back in her hometown to visit old friends and family, although she didn't really have any family other than her 10 year old brother, a cousin down in Arizona, an uncle, who has seemed to be like a brother to her, but he was put away for the moment, for something he hadn't done, her grandfather, and her grandmother.

No Mom, no dad. Dad bailed out she she was a baby, she had never met him actually. Crazy what that stuff can do to a person, she'll always wonder her whole life why she wasn't good enough for him. Her mom had died earlier in her life she she was only eight. It was hard to get through, but not impossible, she barley thought of it anymore.

The main reason she actually wanted to come back to her hometown was to see a boy, of course, a boy, what else? He seemed as if he was perfect, in her eyes at least. Not to tall, a few inches taller than herself, black hair, gorgeous eyes, and a very nice body. Her boyfriend Christian. It had been three summers ago when they finally got together after years of wait. She had loved him ever since they met, but they continued to be friends up till July first 2015.

She remembers her months with him before she had to move like it was all just yesterday. She was truly in love with that boy. And nothing was going to separate them, not even a year in juvy.
