"Riddle, Wyoming Sonso," Professor McGonnagall called out. Wyoming stepped up nervously to the stool. The sorting hat was to be placed on her first-year head. McGonnagall slowly lowered it onto her head. I barely brushed the top curl of her brown hair before yelling,
"SLYTHERIN!!" Wyoming was shocked. Well not very, but she was shocked that the hat didn't reach her head. Of course, she was 'He Who Must Not Be Named's daughter. No one had a clue. She had told them all that she was not of any wizarding blood and that she was the daughter of two Muggles. All that said, however, she hopped down and ran to Slytherin table. She sat next to the boy she knew as Scorpius Malfoy.
"Aren't you Muggle-born?" He asked. Wyoming nodded. It was a lie. Scorpius scoffed. "Mudblood." He said. Wyoming stood up off of her bench.
"What did you call me you useless wretch?" She said calmly as to not ruin dinner. The chatter of kids and the sound of eating had floated itself to their ears.
"I called you a Mudblood. Your poor, sad soul doesn't belong in a great house like Slytherin." Scorpius replied, annoyed.
"The hat put me in Slytherin. It didn't even touch my head, idiot. I'm in Slytherin!"
