"Everything is going to be okay, Audrey", Dayanara said.

Dayanara has been my best friend since fifth grade and even though we go to different high schools now, we're still really close.

"You and Josh were complete opposites and he never deserved to be with someone as amazing as you."

Thanks Dayanara, I guess Josh and I were just meant to be friends.

*Backstory: Josh and Audrey have been friends since sixth grade and decided to start dating their sophomore year of high school (10th grade). They only dated for 3 weeks when they both agreed it wasn't working out and decided to just remain friends.*

*One week later*

"Hi, Audrey. We haven't talked since last school year, how are you doing?"

Hi, Brandon. I'm doing well, how about you?

*Backstory: Brandon is 3 years older than Audrey and graduated last year. They were both in rotc and played football when they could. Audrey had the biggest crush on Brandon but figured there would be no point in telling him due to the age gap.*

Hey Brandon, can I tell you something?

"Sure, Audrey. What is it?"

Ever since I met you last year I sorta had a crush on you. I'm sorry for telling you that I just  couldn't hold it back anymore.

"Audrey, I don't know what to say....."

I understand you don't feel the same way I just had to tell you.

"Audrey, ever since we met in rotc last year I had the biggest crush on you. I would've told you but I guess it was my nerves that stopped me from doing so."

Nerves? Brandon you were a senior, I was a freshman. Why were you nervous?

"Because I didn't think you would feel the same way about me. I honestly thought you were way out of my league. Can we talk more often and see where things go between us?"
