"ARE YOU READY SWEETIE" her mother yelled from downstairs.
"YES MA" she responded.
Today was the day that Raylen moves to a different home. She's not the average girl at all. She's a tomboy. She just turn 16 last week before her mother decided to move. It's considered work reasons their moving and Raylen is not moved at all. When they enter the hual truck, they began driving. Raylen glances at her mother and looks at her in a disgusted way.
"Mom, why the hell are we moving to freaking LA, I know I'm not going to like it there and you know this".
"Because of my job, okay and you already know this. You need a new environment anyways, I mean really sweetie you dress just like a guy and you hang with the most ratchet people I've met" she says.
Raylen looked at her mother in a shocked way, indicating that she didn't like her comment.
"Well then, I don't care. The way I dress is how I dress, and my friends are fine besides I do not dress like a guy". she says with an attitude.
"Oh so you don't dress like a guy huh"? Her mother says in a sarcastic tone. "Well what do you call wearing skinny jeans, snapbacks, baggy shirts, with jordans dressing like". She said getting angry.
"It's called dressing how I want to, I'm done talking mom, just drive please". She says in a tired and irritated tone.
After their big disagreement, Raylen's mother just decided to drop it and let the situation go...for now. It took them at least a day to get to LA, since they were living in Miami and they were driving. When her mother arrived at their destination, she seen a boy with short curly hair with the right sized muscles, with a caramel skin tone. He was moving in the house next to theirs. Raylen thought he was attractive because of how built he was. Even though she was a tomboy she still like boys, but her mother thought otherwise.
"Come on baby, lets unpack this crap". Her mother says breaking her gaze.
"Whatever". Raylen snarls.
Raylen gets out of the truck and her eyes meet with the boy. Raylen begins to get butterflies. He smirks at her nervous look and helps his dad unload their last box. Raylens mother glances at her and realizes that she was starring at the guy. Her mother brushes it off and unpack their boxes. When their done, they go inside the house that's going to be their new roof over their heads.
"Wow". Is all Raylen could say.
"Yup, beautiful isn't it". Her mother mentions while smiling. "Well I got to head out real quick". Her mother says grabbing her purse.
"Already mom, we just got here. Where are you going"? She says with curiosity.
"OUT okay, I love you see you in a hour". She says closing the door and getting in her car.
"Love you too". She sighs
Raylen decided to turn on the living room television and watch a flick, when the door got hit with a knock. Raylen got up and walked up to the door looking through the peek hole. When she seen who was standing there her eyes widened at the sight. It was the boy that is now new to the neighborhood also. She opened the door and instantly turned red.
"Um can I help you". She says curiously.
"Yeah actually,I was wondering if I could come in to get to know you......as a friend". He says with the same smirk.
