Once upon a time begins so many tales, including my own. Before this wretched curse, I was the princess of  a large, wealthy kingdom. I had everything: the loyalty of my subjects, the wealth of a prosperous kingdom, and even a prince. Oh how I loved my prince, and I miss him now. However, wherever he may be, he connot remember me anymore. In fact, nobody remembers anything about the past, except for me. That, my dear fiend, is the curse; only I can remember the time of happy endings that we came from.

My silent brooding was broken by my best friend, Jade. "Perrie! Come on. Don't you remember that the bus comes in ten minutes?" Jade asked.

School, I had completely forgotten! "Just let me get my shoes on!" I yelled back.

The two of us ran to the bus stop. Upon our arrival, the bird began to sing. Animals tended to do that around Jade because somewhere deep inside her is my old best friend, Snow White. Fumes from the bus's exhaust filled my nose as it pulled up. On the bus, Jade and I too our usual seats in the middle of the bus. "Oh my God, you will never guess what I heard," the girl behind us said.

Jade and I shared a look of annoyance at the gossip starting up again right after the holiday, before the first bell even rang. The two girls sitting behind us began to whisper in hushed tones, so we just sat there in anxious anticipation.

The second I got into the school, I could tell the place was already buzzing with life and fresh gossip. News and rumors of a new boy were spreading like wildfires threatening to consume the entire student body. Even though everyone knew of him, nobdy seemed to know about him. On my way to my first class, English, the whole hallway fell silent; I turned to see a bad boy with an angelic face. He must be the new guy, but he couldn't be new because there was just something so familiar about his dark eyes, defined cheekbones, and brooding expression. However overall, he was more dark and mysterious than familiar. For a second my mind was taken back to when I first saw my prince. No, I couldn't be reminded of him. This stranger was tall, dark, and handsome surrounded by an aura of mystery, and while her prince was also tall, dark and handsome, he had an open and charming air about him.

My newfound association of this stranger with my true love has left me knowing one thing: I want nothing to do with this new boy.
