(AN: In this one shot, Lila is pretending to be Volpina, and this takes place during S1 EP24.)
"Chat Noir, I don't think she's one of us," Ladybug said, putting her hand on his shoulder as they looked up and saw Volpina casually sitting on top of a building about a block down.
  "Ladybug, give her a chance."
  "But Cha-"
"I know why," he smirked at her.
  "Why?" she rolled her eyes.
"Because you realized you've been in love with me all this time," he grabbed her hands, "and you don't like her flirting with me.  Don't worry M'Lady-"
"I'm serious!"  She swatted his hands away, almost making him lose his balance.  Almost.
"So am I.  And I think we should give her a chance because she is one of us."
"Stop comparing her to us.  Stop comparing her to me.  If you think she's one of us why don't you go find out?  Enjoy your new partner."
Ladybug ran away and down the stairs before he could answer, and when Chat Noir turned around, he found himself face to face with Volpina.
"New partner, huh?" she winked at him, and held out her hand for him to shake it, and he did.

Meanwhile, Hawkmoth was getting a butterfly ready to akumatize the poor superhero who just lost his partner, the love of his life.  But he shouldn't worry, for Hawkmoth had plans for him and Volpina.  Big plans.
"Fly away my little akuma, and evilize him," he said, as he let go of the little purple butterfly and watched him fly out the window.

"We'll be a great team, even better than you and Ladybug were," Volpina smiled.
"I don't-" he started but got cut off when the butterfly reached his stick.
"She doesn't deserve you.  You'll be better off without her, and with Volpina." Hawkmoth said.
"I would, wouldn't I?"  Chat Noir said against his will, trying to fight it, but he couldn't.  Just couldn't.  He couldn't do anything without Ladybug.
"I give you the power to get revenge on her, showing her who's right.  The only catch is you have to do a little favor for me, and bring my her miraculous.  Her earrings."
"I know what her miraculouses are.  We were partners."
  "Of course."
  "And my miraculous?"
  "Don't worry about it."
Chat Noir nodded against his will.  This wasn't going to end well.
  "Excellent," Hawkmoth laughed.
"Are you ready to do this?"  Volpina smiled an evil smile.
"Of course," he smirked, taking her hand in his and they took off.

"Give it up Ladybug," Volpina smirked.
"We've got the cat in the bag," Chat Noir chuckled.
"I don't know what's more unbearable: The fact that you can't listen to me then you get akumatized or your cat jokes," Ladybug rolled her eyes.
  "The cat jokes," Volpina sighed.
  "Probably," she muttered.
"Now give me your miraculous, and nobody gets hurt." Volpina reached out her hand.
"You mean me?" Ladybug said, "As in nobody?"
"I mean you and your boyfriend over there," she pointed a finger at Chat Noir sitting behind her.
  "What?" Ladybug asked.
"I thought we were partners," he said.
"You really thought that?" she giggled, without facing away from Ladybug,  who had her hands tied behind her back.  "I don't need you.  I'm doing this by myself, and taking you both down.  You'll have to use both of your powers to get out of here, and save each other before it's too late."
  "What's too late?" She asked.
"If you stick around too long, you'll find out."
"If you haven't noticed, he's kind of on your side?  Why would he help me?"
"Oh that's right!"  Volpina said, and she grabbed his stick and snapped it in had, letting the evil akuma go, but not de-evilizing it.
"Whoops better get that too," she smirked and Chat Noir fell forward and off the table as soon as Volpina poofed out of the room.
Chat Noir rubbed his head for a second but then rushed to go untie Ladybug as soon as he saw her.
"What happened, M'Lady?  The last thing I remember is-"
Marinette crossed her arms as soon as she was free.
"Not listening to me and then ditching me to team up with Volpina when I told you she wasn't good news.  Look what happened."
  "You're right I should have-"
"Listened to me.  I know," she shook her head, "Let's just get out of here and then we can go back to our normal lives."
"Ladybug, I don't want to go back to my normal life."
  "Why not?"
"Because my normal life stinks.  It stinks more than cheese," he said a bit loudly so Plagg could hear.
  "What do you mean?"
"I mean, I can't do anything.  There's this annoying snobby rich girl who likes me, my father well, he's not much of a father to me, my mothers out of the picture, and I can't be myself.  I'm myself with you.  And there's no you in my normal life."
  "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying that being Chat Noir makes me happy.  You make me happy.  Nothing else, nobody else.  I need to know who you are."
  Ladybug just looked at him.
"Trust me.  You don't know me in real life, and if you did, it would probably be worse.  You would hate me.  Talk about getting a new part-"
  "No I wouldn't!"
  "Yes you w-"
"Are you yourself when you're Ladybug?"
"Stop interrupting me and why wouldn't I be?"
"Then, you have no problem showing me.  I'm in love with you because of who you are, and matter what you do outside of being Ladybug, or what your name is, if you're the same person as Ladybug, I'll still be in love with you.  Forever and always."
  "Chat N-"
  "Please."
"Okay," she said, sighing, "I give up.  Mind as well do it now."
  "You first or me?"
  "I'll go."
Ladybug transformed back into Marinette and Chat Noir's jaw dropped.
"Your turn," she said without opening her eyes.  Chat Noir transformed into Adrien and waited for her.
  "Open your eyes now."
Marinette began to open them very slowly, and once they focused on Adrien, Marinette found herself speechless.
"Is this a joke?  Is this a dream?"
"No," he laughed.  "You're Marinette Dupain-Cheng, and you're the love of my life." He ran up to her and hugged her.
"This can't be happening.  Adrien Agreste is Chat Noir?"
  "Yes," he said, laughing again.
  "I like you."
"You like Adrien?" He asked, and she nodded.  "Then that's perfe-" he said, but then pushed her away, "A problem."
  "What?"
"I just told you.  Adrien Agreste is the worse version of me.  I hate that version of me.  That isn't me. Chat Noir is me, but you like him better."
  "Him is you."
"No.  No it's not.  And if you can't accept the fact that Chat Noir is who I am, and Adrien is not who I want to be, then we can't be together."  He began to walk away.
  "Adrien..."
"Don't you dare call me that," he said, without looking back at her.
