Chapter 6

Katherine's Pov

As soon as I got home I ran upstairs and quickly stripped out of my cheerleading outfit. I took a nice, hot shower. My muscles were so stiff it was hard to just wash my hair. I scrubbed my body clean until there was no more mud or dirt to be seen. There was a couple bruises on my leg from tumbling but it was alright. I stepped out of the shower and walked into my room. I glanced at the clock, crap it was already 5:45. I quickly squeezed my hair with my white fluffy towel just to soak up any more water and I started to dress. I decided to stick with the basics by wearing black sweatpants and a black spaghetti strap tang top with socks.

It was getting late and I'm pretty sure after Wesley went home I would go on my laptop and watch Netflix or go to bed. I applied a light coat of mascara and a little lipgloss just so my lips wouldn't dry out. I decided not to bother straightening my hair since it started to curl. I liked my natural hair, so I decided to let my curls flow down.

I decided to call my mom she was probably wondering how school was today. As soon as she answered I told her I missed her so much and that things went well today. I also told her that I met Wesley and that he would be coming over tonight for our French assignment. Oh also that I went out to cheerleading tryouts. Of course my mom being my mom she asked who this Wesley boy was and I told her he was new to the school and that our teacher paired us up together because we were both late. To quickly change the subject I asked her how California was and if she was liking it so far.

She told me everything from it being so hot out she'd sweat in the first 2 minutes to her business meetings. We kept talking until I figured it was time to go and see if Wesley was here. I quickly told my mom, that he was going to be here and that I would call her as soon as I woke up. And like that I was off heading downstairs.

The maid that my mom hired to help keep this house clean while she was gone offered to make snacks, so I decided I would help her with them. We cut up fruits and put them in a large fruit bowl. I decided that I should order pizza just incase we got hungry. The buzzer started to buzz and I figured it was Wesley. It was already 6:00 and he was right on the dot. The house phone started to ring just as I was about to walk away.

I raised my eyebrow and grinned,"Hello?"

"Hello Katerina I'm here. I'll be up in just a couple of seconds. Told you I was going to be on time." His voice was deep and alluring. It made my knees go weak.

"Okay I'll see you meet you outside my door. Bye."

As soon as I opened the door Wesley was right there. He was smiling and he had his French book in his hand. He had a black blazer on and a dress shirt with dark jeans. It fit pretty well with him and he did look good.

"Told you I wasn't going to be late."

I rolled my eyes and laughed,"Yeah yeah. Come in."

"Wait do you live here by yourself?"

"God no." I scoffed,"I can't handle this all by myself, I live here with my mom but she's on a business trip in California. She's not coming back till next week."

"Oh okay. Can I ask you something?"

I was kinda worried of what he was going to ask me it made me feel uneasy. "Um yeah sure, what is it?"

"Wasn't your hair straight or something? Did you curl you hair?" I started to laugh so hard I thought I was going to get toned abs. He looked so confused and focused it was actually really cute but funny. I felt me cheeks burn but I didn't care.
