It was 2:01am and the keyboard kept clicking as her long fingers washed out the flooding ideas from her mind. She had to type them before they escaped.

Aimee took a sip of tea only to immediately spit it out. The hot water had not only burnt her tongue but the strong flavor of the unwashed mug made it clear she had to once and for all wash her dishes. It wasn't procrastination, although she had most of her nights free, Aimee had devoted her time to a subject of her interest... Love.

Yes the four lettered word most people take for granted these days. But can you really take something seriously if you don't understand it?

She wasn't confessing her feelings to someone in a letter or writing an emotional poem, in reality she wasn't approaching the subject in any romantic way. Aimee had an investigative spirit she wanted answers, cultural beliefs, definitions, myths and as an aspiring psychoanalyses major she was specially interested in the psychology behind the topic.

Love is defined as a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes that range from interpersonal affection to pleasure. It can refer to an emotion of a strong attraction and personal attachment. But in general love is viewed as an intense feeling of deep affection. Still no one seems to understand the full complexity of love, and that is precisely why Aimee had made it her soul porpouse to try and find out.

It might appear as an irony but although she was born on February the 14th and the meaning of her name is beloved, Aimee was in no way a hopeless romantic, but only the complete opposite. At 21 years old she knew what she wanted and wasn't going to settle for less, or let love get in the way. Her selectiveness when choosing a boyfriend categorized her as a complicated and demanding single, which she didn't mind since she didn't have much time to date anyway, as Sigmund Freud said; "we are never so defenseless against suffering as when we love" and something Aimee didn't want in her life was for it to get complicated.

Taking Long steps, she rushed through the crowded downtown streets, sweating in exasperation she arrived to the tall building where she would be dedicating her evenings for the next three months. Just in time. A tall women in her forties who introduced herself as Mrs. Hallman greeted her at the front desk, and after lecturing her on the great opportunity it was to be chosen as an intern for The Mental Health Hospital she pointed her to the small office where she would be organizing archives. The peaceful melody of serenade by Franz Shubert played in the background.

Classical music promotes honest communication of your emotions which is specially helpful for counselors and psychoanalisists. - Echoed a deep voice form across the hall.

Aimee looked up to the tall handsome man who was escorting a group of young girls across the building as they took notes. dreamy eyes and sighs escaped their glossy pink lips in awe. Rolling her eyes at their hormonal instability Aimee continued stacking documents.

Physical attraction

Physical attractiveness is the degree to which a person's physical features are considered aesthetically pleasing or beautiful.

There are many factors which influence one person's attraction to another, with physical aspects being one of them. Physical attraction itself includes universal perceptions common to all human cultures, as well as aspects that are culturally and socially dependent, along with individual subjective preferences.

In many cases, humans subconsciously attribute positive characteristics, such as intelligence and honesty, to physically attractive people.

You could say Aimee was familiar with the subject, always catching glances wherever she went, her asymmetrical features, long ashy brown hair that twirled down to her waist and classical style made her a true eye candy. For a girl in her twenties she had an exquisite taste for refined clothing, her classical appearance made her always stand out form the crowed in a mysterious way, transporting the observer to another time.
