Descendants and Darkness

Chapter 1.

It was currently 11:45pm, I was alone in my bedroom on the warm July night awaiting something that happened only once a year. I was reading a book called 'Fate of Utopia' a fantasy book about a young woman attempting to save a magical land named Utopia from impending doom with only the forces of a magical substance, when it happened it struck 12:00am

It was officially my 11th birthday I had been waiting all night for this moment and it was here. Quickly I got out of bed over to my Oakwood desk and began to draw a picture of what I hoped this birthday would be like, it was a magical picture with lots of colours, glitter and quite a few stickers. By the time I had finished the picture it was 1:00am so very reluctantly I went to bed I wished I could stay up and dance all night long but I knew that at dawn there would be plenty of time for that. It was 7:30am by the time I got up I went straight downstairs to find that my Mother, Father and sister were all already sitting at the table as soon as I soon as I sat down at the table the smell of bacon and coffee hit me it smelt so nice.
"Happy Birthday Rebecca!" Said my Father very bouncily as if he were up for hours. "Thank you Father." I replied very sleepily.
"Yes happy 11th birthday sweetie!" quoted Mother very softly.
"Thank You Mother." Again I replied still as sleepy as the last.
Mother had already poured me out some orange juice and laid some bacon carefully on my plate.
"Thank You." I stated again.
My sister had fallen asleep on her chair and woke up as soon as the food was put on her plate. We all laughed so hard that she went off in a huff but before she left the room she very grumpily stated "Happy Birthday." Then slammed the kitchen door.
"Grace has hit her terrible fours obviously!" Mother stated very sarcastically.
Once I had eaten my breakfast Grace had come back down from her tantrum and came into the living room after us to see what I had got for my birthday. I opened Grace's first it was a jumper a beautiful shade of pink with a deer that looked similar to Bambi on the front of it.
"Thank you so much I love it!" I said to her and she looked rather pleased with herself.
Then I opened Mother and Father's it was a pair of brown boots with a buckle to the side and a fake zipper for decoration.
"Thank you so much, they are beautiful!" I stated very excited to wear them.
Next I opened the present I got from my Nannie and Granda both Nannie's and Granda's payed for it I opened the package it was a pair of designer jeans and a light pink top with a mint glittery butterfly.
"I love it all and I will say thank you to both Nannie and Granda's when the family get here!" I said to Mother and Father. I went straight upstairs to get ready and into my new outfit, I came back down at 9:00am but everyone wasn't coming to 10:30am I had loads of time to watch TV. I was in the middle of watching "Stuck in the middle" when I heard a rustling noise coming from the chimney and then a rather unusual noise a hooting so I looked up the chimney and much to my surprise a tawny owl came flying down the chimney. Everyone came into the living room all very shocked at what they saw the tawny owl had a letter in it's claw a yellow envelope with emerald green letters on the front and on the back a stamp that had a very unusual crest with a corner that had a lion, a corner that had a snake, a corner that had a badger and a corner that had a eagle and at the top of the crest was a strange word that read 'Hogwarts' below it was a lot of strange words that looked to be another language. The emerald green writing on the front said
'Miss R McKee,
The spare room,
19 Maryville Park,
Ayrshire,
Scotland.
I felt my stomach churn as I asked myself "What is this, why did I get mail and why is it like this?."
"Open it!" Said my Mother looking rather excited.
So I opened it to find a letter stating,
Dear, Miss Rebecca Mckee,
                                                  You have been offered a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. If you accept this place then you will meet at KingsCross Station on September 1st 2015 and will board 'The Hogwarts Express' which will leave KingsCross Station at 11:00am SHARP you will find The Hogwarts Express on platform 9&3/4. You can find all your school equipment on the next letter and also you will find it all in Diagon Alley a magical street to be found behind a magical wall, in a wizarding pub called the leaky cauldron.

We all stand there looking shocked.

AN: Hi guys hope you like the 1st chapter of my book the next chapter should be out soon. I really really love Harry Potter so obviously it's a fanfic. Hopefully it will become even better than it is now,
