Chapter 9

--Kians POV--

I ran through the woods as fast as I could trying to track her scent and reach her before she is gone forever. If I reach her in time before she leaves the state I can take her back with me.

If I reach her in time I'm gonna make Dampyr pay. I'm gonna beat his ass over and over again until he stops breathing.

'Have you found her yet?' Tate mind linked me. I stop and shift back into human form. 'No, but I could use your help. Meet me in the next town and bring clothes.'

Transforming probably wasn't a good idea because now I'm naked in the woods and I'm close enough to town that somebody could walk by anytime and see me. So I transform back I to my wolf and try to find a river or some kind of water source.

I walk around the area for a little while until I came across a waterfall. The waterfall is about five feet high and it runs into a stream. I walk over to it and dip my head down to get a drink.

"Well, well, well what do we have here." I turn my head to see Tate and Wes. "Here." Tate says handing over shorts, a shirt, and sweatshirt." I take the clothes in my mouth and go behind a tree.

After I change I walk over to Wes and Tate. "Why is he here?" I ask looking at Wes. "He wanted to come and help. The more help, the better."

"Fine, but don't get in my way." I growl at Wes. "Fine as long as you don't get in mine."

"Ok enough. Are we gonna sit here and bicker back in forth or are we gonna go after my sister and bring her back." Tate says sending both of us a glare. "He's right, we can't waste anymore time." Wes says catching me off guard.

"Let's go then." I say walking toward town.

--Jades POV--

"Where exactly are we going?" I ask when we get off the train we have been on for an hour now. "If I tell you now I will ruin the surprise." He smirks. I wish I could slap that smirk right off of his face.

"Can you at least tell me are?" He looks at me for awhile until he tells me. "We are in Michigan."

"What! Why are we in Michigan?" I try not to raise my voice but I fail terribly. "I'm meeting an old friend, then we are going to Las Vegas and that's were we are gonna stay."

"I'm not going to Vegas." I say stopping in front of the steps that lead to the streets. "Do you really think you have a choice?" He asks raising his voice.

People are starting to stare.

"What are you going to do if I don't go with you? Kill me, without me you won't be able to kill him. You need me."

"I could always kill you and use Kian. He is a True Alpha and without you he has nothing to live for so he will go with me."

"Why did you choose me if you can have Kian?"

"Because you have been an Alpha longer than him and you are very smart, that's very useful if you ask me." He smirks.

"Fine I'll go to Vegas...on one condition." He raises his eyebrows. "And what is that?"

"You let Kian come with." I say crossing my arms. He laughs. "Haha you think I'm that stupid. No, I won't allow that."

"Then let Tate." He narrows his eyes at me. "I wasn't born yesterday." I think of someone else that he will say yes to. "Wes, let Wes come."

"You mean the one who has a little crush on you, haha. Ok, ya he can come. I think this will be fun."

I quickly mind link him. 'Wes meet me at Lake Michigan at eleven tonight and come alone. Don't tell anyone I have contacted you.'

"I Ted him to meet me at Lake Michigan at eleven and told him to come alone."

"Good now let's go we have wasted time already." He says and drags me out of the subway.

--Wes's POV--

'Wes meet me at Lake Michigan at eleven tonight and come alone. Don't tell anyone I have contacted you.' Jade mind links me when Kian, Tate, and I are checking into a hotel. We are at least an hour or two away from home.

It's ten o'clock right now so I have an hour. Why doesn't she want anyone else to know? Is it a trap?

So many questions are going through my head, but I'm going. She may need my help and I can help Tate and Kian find her if I'm there too.

"Ok well they only have one room with two beds so somebody gets a bed by themselves." Kian says breaking me from my train of thought. "I'll share a bed with Tate." I say without thinking.

"I don't mean it like that, I'm just really tired." I say quickly. "Uh huh ok well we should get some sleep since we are getting up at the ass crack of dawn so let's hit the hay." Tate says and we get on the elevator.

Soon enough Tate and Kian are fast asleep. I try my best not to wake them as I grab my phone and wallet. I check the time and it's ten thirty. I have thirty minutes. Thirty minutes to help her.

I quickly make my way out the room, in the elevator, out of the hotel, and on a subway to Michigan.
