Angelena's POV
Friday mornings were always a drag for Angelena. It was so close to the weekend, but yet she had another long day at work. Being a lawyer wasn't all bad, she got to dress nice and the pay wasn't bad either, but she had no one to share it with. No husband, no kids, only her dog max.
This morning was different, she woke up early and made herself (and Max) breakfast. She was in a good mood, "today was going to be a good day" she said to herself. After finishing up she got dressed and said good bye to Max. S he hopped in her powder blue convertible and drove off to work. On her way Angelina felt like stopping for a cup of coffee. She park on the street in front of the coffee shop and went in. The line wasn't too bad, for a Friday morning. She waited and decided on a Mocha Frapuccino, it was almost time to order. The man in font of her just got his coffee. He turned around and at the worst possible moment one of her 6 inch, white, Gucci heals broke. She lost her balance. She was going down! Out of instinct, she grab the man in front of her. Not expecting this, the man spilled his coffee down the front of her new, white satin, Calvin Klein dress. The embarrassment was unreal. she looked up with embarrassment and recognize his face. she knew that face...
"Angie?" The man asked.
"Jackson!" She stammered. It was Jackson, her best friend high school.
I almost didn't recognize you. You... you...you look so fresh." He exclaimed.
"Yeah it's been like what ten years?" She said.
"Yeah, I think it has. Ten years, wow," he pause.
"So how if you been." Angie asked.
"Good, good. I've traveling a lot for work." Jackson explained.
"what do you do?" She asked.
"Oh, I'm an FBI agent." Jackson said.
"Really, wow!"
"Yeah it really fun." He said.
Then Angelena checked her watch.
oh my God it's 930 I'm late for work and I have to go home and change now
"oh sorry about that" Jackson apologize
"no it's my fault really" Angie said
"hey what are you doing tonight" Jackson asked
"nothing, I really have no social life with work and stuff"
"well why don't we go out to dinner and catch up for all time sake" Jackson suggested "OK! here's my number, call me sometime today and work out details" ang said
"OK, I'll do that. see you tonight" Jackson said as he waved goodbye
"yeah, see you tonight" Angelina said as she stood there looking like a mess. But she didn't care because tonight was going to be the best night she has had in a long time.
