Can't Sleep Without Him

They've had fights, Every couple has fights. This one happened to be nasty.

It started out as a normal hunt. Castiel was supposed to cover Sam an watch his back while Sam salted and burned some bones. Castiel became distracted for a split second and that was all it took.

A ghost threw Sam onto the Impala, breaking the windshield, and knocking Sam unconscious. Dean was furious at Sam being hurt and his precious baby being damaged. On the ride back to the bunker, Dean ranted and raved at Castiel. Castiel, unsurprisingly, fought back. When they arrived at the bunker and dealt with Sam, Dean and Castiel went back to arguing. Each was throwing nasty jabs at the other until Castiel was fed up. 

"You can sleep on the couch tonight!" Castiel shouted as he entered their bedroom and threw a pillow at Dean.

"Good! As if I'd want to be next to you!" Dean shouted back as he stormed out of their room. 

Still angry, Castiel went through his nightly rituals before going to bed while Dean did the same across the bunker. 

Castiel was still lying awake after hours of lying in bed, missing the warmth of Dean next to him. Missing the feeling of Dean's hot breath on his neck as he pulled him closer. Angry at himself, Castiel sighed.

He kicked off his covers, snatched his pillow, and stomped his way to Dean. When Castiel arrived at the couch that Dean was on, Dean was wearing the same angry expression as Castiel. Dean moved back on the couch and opened his blanket. Castiel mumbled as he crawled in. Cas's mumbling was quiet but Dean heard something like "accidentally kick you in your sleep" but he let it slide. 

Dean grunted as Castiel finally got comfortable and angrily kisses Castiel's cheek as they both fell asleep.

The next morning, Sam limped towards the couch, smirked, and shook his head.

"Morons."
