Paige's POV

New school means new people and I'm so done with meeting so many fake people. I hate moving schools every year. I can't get comfortable around someone cause once I do, I end up leaving and it all repeats again. I just wish Indian Springs High has some cool and decent people to talk to.

My mom parks the car in front of the school. Wow. There are a lot of students! Many girls with their cheerleading outfits. Other girls making out with their boyfriends behind the trees and stupid delusional guys showing off their muscles to the girls. I close my eyes and inhale deeply, then exhale. I open my eyes and look at my mom with a big wide fake smile. She know me so well that she says, "oh stop it with the fake smile Paige"

"You're right" I then make a serious face.

"Whatever. Now are you sure you don't want me to go with you to the office?"

"No mom, it's okay. I'm used to this." I pull up my backpack from between my legs and open the door slightly.

"Okay well, have a nice day hunny"

"I'll make the best out of it!" I roll my eyes and get out the car.
Accidentally I shut the door so hard and quick.

Great! Just what I wanted, to cause a big scenario. Now basically everyone is looking at me. I look at my mom and she has a look of sorry for me. The bottom corner of her mouth tilts down and then she leaves quickly.

I close my eyes and turn around. I open them and now I'm facing the school and everyone is still looking at me! With all serious faces. Some are even whispering among themselves. I force a smile, look down and start walking. I know people are still looking at me because they are still not talking to each other and I can just get that feeling where someone is watching me. Don't you ever get that weird feeling whether someone is watching you?

I look up and make my way up some stairs then open the entrance doors. Now I'm in the hallway.

I continue walking, trying to find the office but I can't seem to find it. So I tap on a girls shoulder. She turns around and looks at me with a serious face while chewing her gum all nasty and twirling her hair.

"Hi! Do you know where the office is at?" I ask.

"Nope" she made a huge bubble with her gum and then poped it.

"Uhm okay then..?" I shake my head and continue walking down the hall. I make two turns and I finally see it! The office! Yes.

****** Alex's POV *****

"Oh cmon! Mrs. Clark! It was a joke!" I whine.

"Shaking soda cans before you give them to people, so they can open it and get all sticky and gross is not a joke Alex. It's very rude and immature of you to do."
Mrs. Clark says in a serious tone.

"I only did it to my friends so they understand and they're not mad" I lie.

Mrs. Clark looks at me with vicious eyes and calls one of the students who I pranked. She asks him something and immediately shakes his head.

"Alex, to the principals office now" she demands.

"What no, why!?" I raise my eyebrows in surprise.
