I think I have a crush on Luke. I mean you're only 12 and mom says you're not allowed to date till you're 13, but I still think he's really cute. I'm so glad that were best friends.

It's your 13th birthday! Luke has the same birthday so we're celebrating together! I can't wait to hang out with my um... Best friend. Gosh I wish I could call him my boyfriend. At least you guys are best friends!

Sophia threw her old diary across the room. 16 year old Sophia cringed at the words best friends. She scolded her childhood self for ever even considering him a friend, after he ripped her heart out of her chest and stepped all over it. She hadn't talked to him ever since. It had been a long time since she considered forgiving him. He broke her, and that was all that mattered.
