hello !! so yes, welcome back to yet another fanfic of mine! I am extremely determined to finish this fanfic and have it be my best one yet!! i made some minor changes to this because I really want the chapters to be long and the story to be clear!! Also, every chapter I will give you some songs that I listened to while writing each chapter, because for me, music helps people envision, so please feel free to listen to the songs while reading!!

- "Float" - The Neighbourhood
- "The sound" - The 1975

ps this a dan au which means it's not in any way real! I know that dan does not have tatoos, does not do drugs, or has any serious psychotic thoughts. this is all fiction okay! just wanted to clear that up for you all! xx

Skye's POV;

"This is it." I thought to myself as I started to gather my suitcase and the rest of my belongings out of the over head compartment on the plane. I had just landed in London and I was tired as hell. Literally, the man who  sat next to me on the flight had no problem with falling asleep which resulted with his loud and obnoxious snores causing me no time to sleep on this exhausting 11 hour flight. All I had left to do was sit in my seat and stare out of the window through most of the flight being as I was extremely anxious and couldn't focus on my laptop.

My anxiety was at its high during the flight as usual, and my nerves had kicked in causing my body into overdrive and for me to practically hyperventilate every time the plane went into turbulence. It was a fun time.

I snapped out of my thoughts and back into reality as soon as I realized that the line to getting out of the plane was moving. Gripping my compacted suitcase in my hand that only contained the essentials, I exited the plane and hurriedly made my way through the airport.

"Where the hell is she?" I mumbled to myself as I looked for Emma, my childhood friend who happened to move out to London a year ago for her job promotion, so when I decided to pick up my life and move to a whole new continent, it was nice knowing I wouldn't be alone and that I had somewhere to stay for a while.

I quickly grabbed my phone and started dialing Emma, I was not going to be caught up here for another hour or so, all I wanted was to go home and sleep. My jet lag was already starting to kick in.

"I swear to god, if she forgot-"

"SKYE!" I heard a voice yell at the the top of its lungs. I instantly recognized that it was Emma by the particular range of her voice that she'd always seemed to obtain, even in our middle school days, it was a very distinct voice.

I looked up to see Emma charging at me, I immediately crossed my hands over my body to protect my small 5 foot 4 inch body.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Calm down girl!" I said dying of laughter, still holding my hands out to block me from getting knocked on my butt in front of the whole airport.

"I'm sorry! It's just I haven't seen you in years and the fact that you're here is just....amazing!" she squealed before grabbing me and holding me a little to tightly in a suffocating hug. I took these few extra moments to admire her appearence, puberty did her right. Her hair, red and beautiful remained the same as it always had through our school days. I remember Emma went through a phase of wanting to die her hair jet black. She had told her mom anf she instantly flipped out and basically forbid her to dye her luscious locks, she was so infuriated and swore to her mom that once she moved out, she would have it dyed, which now I can see was not the case. She was also pretty fit now to be honest and she had gotten much taller since middle school, now standing at about 5'6 or 7. She looked absolutely fantastic.
