My name is Cassandra O'Brien, a.k.a Cassie, and I live in Reno, Nevada. I'm a senior at Venus Academy, a private school for rich kids and really smart ones, like me. My dad is a police officer and my mother works as a waitress. My best friend is... Well, I don't actually have a best friend since the 'incident'.
You see, last year I had everything. I had friends and a great boyfriend who I loved with all my heart. It all changed, though, when Josh, my boyfriend, was brutally murdered by his rival, Kyle West. I guess I never recovered from the loss and I isolated myself. My parents decided it was for the best if I seeked counseling and now every tuesday I go to my psychiatrist, Dr. Robert Hills.
Kyle went to court crying he was innocent but he had the murder weapon and my dad found his bloody clothes near his house. His story remained the same, he found Josh dead while he was walking in the park and checked if he was alive. Kyle didn't call the police because he freaked out and the knife was planted in his locker. I admit some parts make sense, but he hated Josh and threatened him multiple times.
After losing everything and becoming a prisoner in my own body, I decided to move on and started working with my uncle Tommy in his PI's office. Now, I investigate small cases in my school and help students and teachers with their 'problems'. I'm like a female version of Sherlock Holmes except that I don't have my very own Watson.
