That kid... He's persistent. Apparently the first "Matthew's Tale" was a big success so he wants to make a whole line of them. Anyway...

The army camp was amazing. As the best of my group, I became captain. Years passed and I watched as my unit's numbers shrank down to just two. My newest friend Andrew and me. By the time I was twelve, I was forced to go into blood-covered grounds, with Andy behind me(of course), to look for new recruits who could replace the ones we have lost. We found three with amazing powers. Powers over fire, plants and ice, and telekinesis. The girl with telekinesis died of disease, but the other two survived. Their names were A.J and James. We went back to the military camp. There, I was kicked out for letting the girl die of an apparently incurable disease. After that, A.J, James, Andy, and I created a group. We called ourselves "The Survivors" because we were the ones who survived whatever came our way. It continued that way for quite a while. Looting and pillaging when we're running out of food and water. Sometimes going without food for days. Sometimes, we met someone with amazing powers but were too young to fight. That's how we met Alicia. She had magic. Not that "bunny out of a hat" magic. I mean real magic. Deadly magic. Magic that could take a sword right out of your hand and slash at you. Life was good. At least, as good as it could be in a barren battlefield. Them, we met Zac. Zac had already trained himself with a slightly rusty dagger. I for one, didn't really care about his weapon being rusty. Why slice your opponent to death when you can let a disease like tetanus do the job for you.(in case you didn't know, tetanus is a disease you get from rust.) At least, until he attacked me. I must admit, he was pretty good. I barely dodged half of his attacks. At one point, I covered him with water. James stepped in and froze him solid. Then, James put small slivers of ice into his blood stream. Not enough to hurt. Not enough to even notice, but enough so James could control his movements. Restrain him if he has to. That ice was special though. It wasn't water that was frozen... It was James's blood. Without intending to, James had done something that has never happened before. That sliver of crystallized blood duplicated James's power over ice and gave it to Zac.
