A New Beginning[On Hold]

Chapter 14

Hermione's POV:

I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to brace for the pain.

However, it never came.

I opened my eyes.

Ron was just sitting there, smiling at me.

"What?" I asked.

"You really think that I'm going to hurt you?" Ron asked.

"Yes." I said.

He laughed.

"You know, you've always been a smart girl. You're right. I like to see the look of pain on your face." Ron said.

I stayed silent.

"Its a change from either the scared face or the know-it-all look. The look of pain is my favorite." He said.

At this point, I knew that Ron was definitely not sane.

"Why do you want to hurt me?" I asked.

"Pain is all that I have experienced. Now it's your turn." Ron said.

As I watched him, he flicked open his pocketknife with an audible click.

"Let's start." He said.

He cut the ropes of one arm, my right.

He pulled my arm out to full length.

Then, he began to dig the knife into where there was already a large scar down my arm.

Like last time, the pain was excruciating.

I felt the blood trickle down my arm.

Had I might not have been paralyzed with fright, I might have used the freedom of my arm to grab the knife from him.

However, my arm was in too much pain, and I felt paralyzed.

I opened my eyes, which I hadn't even realized I had closed.

As I watched, Ron swiped a finger through the blood on my arm.

He wiped it on his face, smiling.

He began to laugh maniacally.

I couldn't take it anymore.

The pain was too much.

Draco's POV:

I paced through the living room.

I had to find Hermione.

She was in extreme danger with Ron.

I didn't know where to find her, though.

It could take the police days, weeks, months to find where she is.

And by that point, she would probably be gone anyway.

I just didn't know how Ron could do stuff like this.

However, I had a feeling that he was under a curse.

But I didn't know which one.

Ron could have already moved her by now.

She could be across the country by now.

Or even farther.

I didn't know what to do.

I had to find her.

Suddenly, I had an idea of what curse he might be under.

The Imperious Curse.

So.

Sorry if I spelled the Imperious word wrong.

Damn autocorrect.

Anyway, Draco has a small lead.
