Chapter 1- Lids

I wake up to the sound of my annoying Alarm clock on my phone. I open one eye and picked up my phone to turn it off. Today is gonna be a long day. I make myself get out of bed and I grab my phone and slump my way to the bathroom. I start by brushing my teeth then I take my hair tie out of a bun and brush my hair out. I then put it back up into a ponytail and start washing my face. When I'm done with that I clean my ears and I do my lady business. I walk out of the bathroom and pick out a hat that says Civil, a black top and some shorts with my Black vans. I go back into my bathroom and straighten my naturally curly hair.

Oh I forgot to introduce myself. What's up I'm Dillon Renee Hood. But you can call me Dillon or Dill. I live in Woodbury New York. I'm 13 almost 14 in September. 3 more months! And no I'm not related to Calum hood. Although that would be lit. I'm in the 8th grade and I love to travel! I also love basically any beach I come across. Well enough about me let's get back into the story

When I'm done with that I walk out of my room grabbing my house keys and my phone. I head down my long stairs and I go into the kitchen. I pick out a chocolate bar and I make myself some coffee while putting it in a to go mug that is pink and says but first coffee. I hear a honk and my friend cat yells "let's go Dill!" I tell my parents I'm going out with cat and I kiss them goodbye. As I'm walking down my porch stairs I trip on the last step but I don't fall. She starts laughing and I give her a dirty look. " Hey Tom!" I say to Cat's dad while getting into the car "What's up kiddo" he says driving off. "oh nothing much same morning as usual"

"Thanks Tom" I tell him when he drops us off at the mall. "Thanks dad love you" cat says grabbing her phone out of her purse. "Love you both" he says and then drives off into the sunset. No I'm totally kidding guys! He just drives off. When cat and I get into the mall it's packed with people. Little kids crying, some kids running around while there mom tries to stop them. People buying food and biting into a hamburger. Normal big mall stuff. Cat and I sit down at a bench and we start getting on our phones and checking our Social Media. I have 30k followers on Instagram! ( A//N follow me on Instagram @_okayitstris I don't actually have 30k followers ) we then get up and walk into Victoria secret. Boi do I hate this store but cat loves it so I walk to the sweaters and shirt section and I grab a long sleeve PINK shirt with big letters on the back and a Dog logo on the right corner of the shirt. It's pink and blue. I find cat and I see that she has 3 bras and a shirt that is just back and it has the PINK logo. We then pay and while I'm in line I see this Perfume that I want so bad but it cost 30 bucks! I wasn't going to spend 30 bucks on perfume right now! So then we leave and go to about 20 more stores.

1 hour later and we come across a hat store called lids. Knowing me cat showed me the store and we walked in. While I was looking around cat comes up to me and taps my shoulder very aggressively. "WHAT!" I yell whisper. "It's Jacob Sartorius!" She says excitedly looking over there. "Who?" I ask. He's an Internet sensation! "Oh cool" I roll my eyes and I look back at the hats. A minute later I hear a boys voice talking to cat. "Omg I love you so much can I take a picture!" I hear cat say to Jacob. "Of course" he says. "Dillon take a picture of us pleaseeeee" she begs. I turn around and I take her phone and take a pic for them. "Hey dillon? That's your name right?" He says to me causing me to turn around. "Yeah that's me" I responded with a slight sigh. "Let me guess you want me to take a pic with you?" I roll my eyes. "Well yeah you seem cool" not wanting to be rude I pic up a hat I was trying to concentrate on looking at and quickly put it on. I then turn to cat hearing her making the most girliest noises I've ever heard. I look at Jacob and then gave cat my phone. I walk up to him and he puts his arm around my waist and then we smile for the camera. He then says we should take another pic so he grabs the same hat as me and puts it on. We take a sweet pose with them on and he asks for my number. " My number is ***-***-**** " I tell him. He smiles at me and walks off taking my hat off my head. He walks up to the cashier with mine and his hat and pays for it. " You didn't have to do that Jacob it's was alright for me to pay for it." I explain. He just laughs and says " a simple thanks Jacob will do" "Thanks Jacob!" I say kinda happyish. He then walks out of the store and goes into Starbucks across from the store that we are in. "OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT WAS JACOB SARTORIUS AND YOU GAVE HIM YOUR NUMBER! YOUR SO LUCKY" Cat yells really loudly I'm surprised California didn't hear her. " yeah well I didn't want to be rude and he seems alright" I roll my eyes at her. " that was Jacob freaking Sartorius and you didn't want to be rude wow Dillon" she says in a brattyish voice. "Well I don't know who he is so yeah" I explain. She just rolls her eyes and we walk out of lids. What was he even doing here? Does he live here?
