Dear Sticky Note Friend,
Is it weird that I'm happy you aren't a hoax?
Anyway, I would like to be called Ninja Note Friend!
Random, yes, but you know what? Who cares!?
By the way, when do you have math?
-Ninja Note Friend
Satisfied with my note I set my pencil down and grinned, I glanced at Mr. Ron and made sure he was looking elsewhere before sticking the sticky note under my desk.
"And what was on that one?" Someone whispered.
I jumped and glared at Brandon, who snickered. I decided ignoring him would be best...For my mental health. He didn't seem keen on that idea though, he kept poking me with a pencil. It was kind of weird, he seemed so charming and princely the first time I saw him, but then he became an annoying-slightly goofy-ball of...Fabulous-ness?
"Hey Nina!" Brandon whispered.
I rubbed my temples, trying to focus on Mr. Ron's lesson.
"In modern mathematics, a function is defined by its set of inputs, called the domain; a set containing the set of outputs, and possibly additional elements, as members, called its codomain; and the set of all input-output pairs, called its graph."
My eye twitched. Now I was confused as to what he was even saying, my urge to strangle Brandon was over nine thousand.
"Mr. Ronald Rump." Brandon mumbled.
I caught his mumble and I covered my mouth, trying to conceal my giggles. It was hard to do once Brandon noticed me and started drawing something, he showed me and I lost it. It was a stick figure with what I could only assume was a chart. What really got me was the writing.
Let's make math great again!
(as if it ever was am I right?)
"Ms. Foster, I doubt you find anything funny about math so care to explain?"
I flushed and shrank back, my eyes met with Brandon's twinkling ones. "His picture." I managed to say.
If I was going down, Brandon was going with me, no question. So before Brandon could react I snatched the paper off his desk and nearly shoved it in Mr. Ronald R-Mr. Ron's face.
"Make math great again huh Mr. Goodwin?" Mr. Ron crumpled the paper and threw it behind him, it landed right into a trash bin.
"LEBRON JAMES!!!!" Half the class screamed.
Mr. Ron grinned and went around high fiving people, completely forgetting about me and Brandon. For the time being.
"Way to drag me under the bus Nina!" Brandon hissed.
I smiled sweetly. "Only telling the truth~"
Brandon put his hand on his chin and gazed at me. "Your so weird~" He cooed.
My mind went blank and I stared at him, utterly dumbfound. "Is that a compliment or insult?"
"I would never insult you!" Brandon had a look of offence, so I had accidentally offended him, by asking a question.
"Right...Now shut up." I looked away and spied June casually napping on her desk.
"Focus on me! F-f-focus on me!" Brandon sang, catching my attention. "Wow it actually works!"
"Brandon can you not shut up?!" I glared at him.
"Can you not be Nina?" Brandon stuck his tongue out.
I slammed my forehead onto my desk, done with Brandon, done with school, done with life.
"OH NO! PLEASE DO NOT DAMAGE YOUR BEAUTIFUL FOREHEAD! IT MAY NOT BE FABULOUS LIKE MINE BUT STILL!"
What irked me even more was after school I'm off to June and Julian's house, then worrying about stalker person when I'm suppose to be asleep, finally I have to wait forever to write to Sticky Note Friend-who was my not-really-a-pen-pal-but-close-enough-person.
"NIIIIIIINAAAAA! YOUR GONNA BRUISE YOUR FOREHEAD!"
"Shut up Brandon!" I cried.
"Meanie! I hope your forehead bruises!"
Screw my life.
