Kageyama wiped the fresh blood off of his face with bare hands. "Damn zombies," he thought as he set his knife down. He looked up at the dull, grey sky and sighed. "Why did this have to happen?" He asked himself and stood back up.

"Hey," a voice, familiar to him, called. He turned to the right, looking at the source of the noise. "It's been a while since we've gone to school, huh?" the tall blonde nervously chuckled. "I guess so," the blue eyed boy responded, staring at the dead grass beneath him. "Where's your tag along?" Tsukishima questioned, glancing around to make sure he didn't miss him. "I don't know, I haven't seen him since the last school day," Kageyama's lips curved downwards, forming a frown. "Where's yours?" "Oh he's um..." Tsukki trailed off, and his eyes began to fill with tears.

"Gone?" Kageyama finished for him, seeing as it would have pained him more to say it himself. "Y-yeah," the former middle blocker said between silent sobs. "Sorry Tsukishima, do you want to travel with me?" Kageyama weakly smiled at the blonde. "No," Kei blankly stated before turning and walking back to where he came from. Kageyama was slightly worried but brushed it off and bent down to pick up his knife. "I really need a new weapon," the tall, raven haired boy whispered whilst tossing the knife to the side.

He groaned and looked at his surroundings, hoping to see something to take shelter in; and he did - or so he thinks. Kageyama began walking towards the shelter-looking object. The blue eyed boy stared at the dry, blood stained ground whilst he walked until he couldn't take it any longer. He looked straight ahead at his destination and tried to make out the shape of the shelter. Kageyama jogged towards the place until it was clear enough to make out exactly what it was.

Zombies. A wall of zombies surrounding someone.

Kageyama scanned the area in hopes of finding something to use against the zombies, and sadly, he saw nothing. "I don't need a weapon," Kageyama thought as he got closer to the zombies. He refrained from making eye contact with the person in the middle as he slammed two zombies' heads together, causing them to burst. There wasn't much bloodshed from the two, but it was enough to get the other three to turn around. The former setter began to feel dizzy as the zombies closed in on him.

"I'm-I'm sorry!" Kageyama shouted, wishing that the zombified people would still understand him. "Please leave us alone we don't want to hurt you!" the other person yelled. The zombies ignored the voice and tried to pick up their pace. Kageyama was too scared to run from them or fight. Kageyama brought his hands up to cover his face and squeezed his eyes shut. "This is dangerous..." a slightly concerned male whispered to his friends, only to be ignored. "3..2..1!" a masculine voice shouted, followed by three gunshots.

All three bullets pierced the zombies surrounding Kageyama, also hitting him in the process. The blueberry eyed boy fell back and cried out in pain, grabbing the most painful wound. "I told you, Kuroo!" the pudding haired boy yelled and ran over to Kageyama. "Are you okay?" he asked, crouching down next to the pained male. Kageyama shook his head and closed his eyes. "Goddamn it Kuroo, he could be infected by now because of that!" a deeper voice scolded. "Well would you rather him be dead or injured? Stop complaining," the bed-headed male demanded.

Kenma huffed and took a first aid kit out of his bag. The short boy pulled out a bandage wrap and lifted Kageyama's shirt. "Don't move," he calmly stated and began wrapping the white cloth around his torso. His golden, cat-like eyes met his dark blue ones and Kenma smiled lightly. "Thank you," Kageyama said as he stood up and pulled his shirt down. Kenma didn't respond and turned his back to the setter. "C'mon," he calmly demanded his friends and they followed closely behind. Kageyama slowly walked up to the person who he saved from the zombies and noticed that it was a boy. "Tsukki..." he whispered and looked up at Kageyama with empty, lifeless eyes.

"Yamaguchi?" Kageyama's eyes widened and he walked closer to his teammate. Yamaguchi looked horrible, parts of his body were tinted grey and his hair was thinning, his freckles were barely visible and he looked like he had lost all hope. "Do you want me to take you to Tsukishima? I saw him earlier." Kageyama tried to comfort the boy but he seemed like he couldn't care less. Kageyama groaned and grabbed the boy's hand, causing Tadashi to scream. "Yamaguchi?!" Kageyama panicked, checking his surroundings. Thankfully, nobody was nearby.

Tadashi dropped to his knees and broke down crying. "Yama-" "Take me to Tsukki!" He screamed, clinging onto Kageyama's arm. "Shit, I don't know where he went," the tall boy thought and began to drag the dying boy along with him.
