His eyes burst open as he sits up, almost in complete panic he looks around the room. An IV was injected into his arm, he looked further around the room as a high pitch beep keeps pulsing through it. The room was empty, it had tile floor, a single one-man couch, and medical equipment. The door flies open as a lady with brown hair and green eyes enters the room, she's wearing a teal nurses shirt, with a name tag that says Alice. "Ayden..." She says aloud. At first the the young man is confused, but almost immediately he knew she was talking to him. He attempted to speak but got tripped up by a dry mouth. She approached him and touched his shoulder, slightly pushing down on it. "You have to lay down, Ayden.." She instructed. He slowly laid back until he was completely down. "Can you tell me how you feel?" She asked as she took his blood pressure and shone a light in his eyes. "Do you know who you are?" The nurse asked "Ayden.." The boy would reply. She looked at him expectedly. "Ayden Taylor" he would say to her softly, his mouth still dry. "Can I have some water?" Ayden would ask, the nurse pivots at the waist and picks up a glass of water and begins handing it to him. Ayden tilted his head downwards as he took it from her, embarrassed that he didn't see it. His embarrassment would pass and curiosity took its place. "Uh wher-" he stuttered for a moment, after gaining his composure he straightened up slightly in his bed. "Where am I?" he asks the nurse. While the nurse fiddled with machines she looked at him "BHC. Bellevue Hospital Center, Manhattan." she said kindly. The beeping of the machines would continue pulsing through the room. "Why am I here?" Ayden asked, sounding confused. The nurse looked from the machine, her eyes becoming seemingly stressed as the she stands up completely. "I'll get the doctor..." she said softly, then turns and walks out of the room. Ayden just looked at the ceiling. He closed his eyes and thought of why he could be here. A loud screech echoed through his head, his eyes shoot open as he brings his hands upward and grasp his head. At that moment the doctor walked in. "Hello, my name is Dr. Camden. How are you feeling?" Camden would ask, Ayden would slowly drop his hands from his head as the pain subsided. "Not to well.." Ayden replied sheepishly, he would continue "my head, it just really began to hurt." Ayden explained. "I tried to remember why I am here, but its like my mind wont let me.." Ayden said. "Well." Camden started "that IS normal for a coma patient, your memories will come back to you soon. For now, you are in the Bellevue Hospital Centre located on First Avenue and East 26th Street, Manhattan. All that sound good?" the doctor would ask. Ayden would look up at him and nod. Camden nodded and continued "Sixteen months ago your car was found in a ditch. I'm sad to inform that you were the only survivor." Camden would pause, allowing Ayden to process the information. Ayden would stare blankly at the white sheet that covered half of his body. Finally he sat up and looked at the doctor in shock. "My sister, Avery." Ayden would say, "she's alright, right?!" "I'm sorry..." Camden said softly, looking away from Ayden. "No..." Ayden muttered "why didn't you save her?!" Ayden yelled as tears began flooding from his eyes. "Why didn't you save her!?" he yelled again. Camden wouldn't look back at him. "She died instantly, Ayden.." Camden explained "She was 7, too fragile..." "Fragile?" Ayden muttered. Camden would turn and walk towards the door. "Ill give you time to grieve.." he said with his back towards Ayden as he opened, walked out, and then shut the door. Ayden sat in silence. He thought of Avery as tears fell down his face. In his mind she would stand in her yellow dress, laughing as food filled her mouth. Tears would flood down Ayden's face, he quickly covered his mouth blocking the sound of a sob from escaping. His mind remembers her, playing piano alongside him, a beautiful melody almost floating of the keys. Ayden savoured this memory as tears would soak his hands and the sheet covering his legs.
"Hey.." an unfamiliar voice called out to Ayden. Ayden wipes his eyes to clear his vision. It took four or five times to actually finish the job but once his eyes were clear he looked up towards the person greeting him. Once he looked up he saw a boy standing there. This boy had bronzed skin like he sits in the sun all day and white hair. His clothes were professional looking but suited him perfectly. On his abdomen he wore a black dress shirt, no tie. A vest was worn atop the shirt which Ayden guessed was for style reasons. Lower he wore black dress pants that were lint free and fit him perfectly. "Hey, quit crying!" the boy instructed. Ayden would just look at him, a million thoughts buzzing through his brain, but each thought sticking out to him as if there were less. "My name is Victor.." the boy said. "Victor Blake, and we need to leave. Right now." the boy introduced. Ayden would still look blankly at him "I said now!" Victor exclaimed with a louder tone. Ayden threw the white sheet off his legs and stood up, surprisingly he didn't feel weak at all. In fact he gained muscle mass while he was in the coma. Ayden was, however, dizzy from standing up to fast. "Please, hurry. They'll be here soon." Victor pushed. "Who?" Ayden asked as he moved around his bed and to the chair that sat in the corner of the room. "Just...ok.." Victor clamoured. Ayden reached under the chair and grabbed a bag that he assumed had his clothes in it. He quickly opened the bag to confirm his assumption and there say all his clothes. He smiled at the sight and turned to Victor, giving him a slight nod as he slings the bag over his shoulder. Victor would nod in return and walk out the door. Ayden followed closely and swiftly. Victor would turn sharply down hallways which caught Ayden of guard. "Hey, slow down.." Ayden called out. Ayden would push through people trying to keep up with Victor. "Victor!" Ayden called out as he saw Victor dash around a corner. Ayden would speed up a slight bit, pushing through people and turn sharply around a corner only to bump straight into the chest of a man and fall backwards onto his butt. Ayden would be dazed for a moment "Sorry." he apologized out of instinct. "That's alright, Mr. Taylor." a low, booming voice replied. Ayden looked up at the man he bumped into. This man was tall and slim. He wore a suit that looked a bit large on him but somehow made him look menacing. The man knelt down in front of Ayden and offered his hand. "Mr. Taylor, my names Jacob Wilson. I'm with the FBI and I have some questions abou-" suddenly the man fell unconscious as a loud "whack" sound echoed through the hallway. The man fell and Victor was standing there with a large piece of wood. "FBI my ass." Victor said aloud as he dropped the wood and helped Ayden up. Now standing, Ayden was furious. "I need answers, Victor!" Ayden yelled as he followed Victor down the hall. "Later." Victor responded. Victor stopped at the end of a hallway and braced his back up against the right wall. Victor patted the wall on his left side, beckoning Ayden to stand like him. Ayden did exactly that and braced his back up against the wall. It was cold. Ayden looked down to his bag and wished he had changed before leaving his room. Victor peaked around the corner and quickly pulled away. "Shit." he said in a frustrated tone. "What?" Ayden asked. "There's a lot of them." "Oh." Victor looked at Ayden. "Any ideas?" Victor asked. Ayden looked around the hallway. "Hey, where did everyone go?" Ayden asked noticing the sudden lack of people. Victor made a weird face, no, he made a face as if all the answers were given to him, but they weren't what he was expecting. Suddenly a click was heard by Ayden right behind his own head. Ayden also noticed an arm moving slowly around the corner holding a taser aiming for Victors neck. Victor, was turning slowly as well. Ayden looked at his hands and as he moved them gold lightning emanated off of them. Ayden quickly turned his head to where the click came from and there was a man with a gun. Ayden jumped at the sight but immediately realized the man was also moving incredibly slow. Ayden looked down the barrel of the silver pistol. A 40 caliber weapon. He stared at it and then realized the bullet exiting the barrel. Ayden moved out of the way and then picked the bullet from the air. He then pulled Victor away from the arm with taser. "This is so cool." Ayden said to himself. He then touched the man that attempted to shoot him. Lightning swiftly ran down his arm struck the man as everything returned to normal and the man was shot down the hallway at a blinding speed. Victor, who could now move normally, grabbed the arm and pulled it around the corner. Victor pressed his palm against the mans head and he fell unconscious. Victor then looked to Ayden and sent over a playful smile followed by a nod. Ayden laughed a bit as he clenched his fist and nodded back. Gold lightning then emanated around Ayden as Victor stood beside him, both hearing multiple footsteps around the corner, running down the hallway towards them.
