Vampire Knight Blood Promise

{Prologue} The Orphanage

Nine Years ago, it was a quiet snowy night in the winter seasons, and since winter will end soon this would be its last snow fall until the season returns. 

In town, an incident has happened and was said a young child was kidnapped. Luckily the elder brother of that child reported it to the Vampire Hunters immediately as he was told to do so if anything where to happen. 

The Hunters went to the forest that was close by the town, a place where hardly anyone would enter due to some dangers that could happen to anyone, mostly to the humans. They headed deep and spread out to find the missing child as so far no luck turned up. The Hunters stayed in groups in case, one of the following Hunter groups was Kaien, Toga, and Leon. They where heading further ahead then the groups, as they walked down the path near the small river.

"Any luck yet?" asked Leon. "None. No sign of any tracks leading to the kid around here." replied Toga. "I cant find any either yet, it should be at least a little easier because of the snow" said Kaien. Toga sighed feeling like its not going anywhere but immediately as he looked at the ground with the flashlight, he saw something red, blood red on the ground.

He walked over as he knelt down getting a closer look, there was blood drips on the snow and some on the bark of the tree. Whoever was here, was injured. He looked up as he saw little blood trails. "I think, I found our trail. Lets go." he said as she gets up heading down the trail. Leon and Kaien looked at each other and followed him behind.

They soon come across the edge of the forest as in front of them was a old tall building, the bricks of the wall looked very worn down, with vines around it. Seems the building has been here for ages. "A building?" asked Kaien. "I find it odd that a old building like this, is around in the forest..something seems off about this place." said Leon. "I agree with Leon..Lets go inside and see if we can find the kid." he said as he walks over to the building, not hesitating to approach it. Kaien and Leon followed after as they where a bit unsettled with the strange building. Something about it comes off odd and dangerous even though it looks like a harmless old abandoned building. What caught Leon's eyes was one of the windows lights was on but flickering, as if close to losing power. "one of the lights are on.." Leon stated. "I noticed as well, seems this place is still in use somehow." said Toga. "How can a worn down place  like this still be in use?" asked Kaien. "Not sure, but were about to find out." Toga replied. Leon sighed to himself getting worried about this a bit, but he stood his ground as they approach the large double doors. Luckily one of the doors was open a bit, which makes it easy for them to enter the place with ease.

Maybe a little too easy. They entered the place carefully and kept their guard up as they walked inside more. Their footsteps echo in the empty dark room. Only light source in the room was the upper staircase. "You two spread out and see what you can find, I'll check upstairs." Toga said. Kaien and Leon nodded "alright." they both said as they spread out in the building. 

Kaien went forward as he comes across an empty hallway and he shine his flashlight in it as he finds out there was cell doors on each side of the hallway. The bars where rusted. Some rusted with blood. He carefully walked down the hall looking in each cell rooms through the metal bars. The cells stank with blood and possible vomit. Whoever was in these cells, had one hell of a nightmare living here. Some of the floors be stained with blood, and some of the blood be on the ragged blankets as well. 

On Leon's case, he walked through what looked to be the cafeteria area. The floors where white tiles and the tables made of medal. There was a room where the kitchen is at and he walked inside. He can smell something foul inside when he just walked inside the room, along with a possible smell of blood since Leon is familiar with the kind of smell through his hunting ages. He looked over as he saw a bin full of blood as the sticky note in writing on the bin says 'for the little blood suckers'.
