I woke to Bill's gang, gathering around my body, grinning as if I was some object. When I tilt back, I can see Bill's Face covered in a black, silk handkerchief with his eyes staring directly through me. I'm frozen. Fagin's smile broadens as he uncovers two guns from the hidden box under my feet. I wait for Bill or anyone to say something-what was happening?, was I going to die?, although what had I done to be put into this situation after all?- but he says nothing, just continues to load the two guns before me. I raise my hands to my head and bury my face in them. As the moments pass, I get more nervous, I have to wipe away my tears every few seconds as they swim across my beaten face. I slowly inhale to prepare myself for what's to come.
Then the gun fires...
