Hello everybody let me introduce myself I'm Emily Winchester I'm 17 years old soon 18 I live in Ireland and well I'm a foster kid. I'm not going to tell you that story just yet and you'll see why. See because of my past I was never good at making friends, trusting people all I had was music. So when I changed foster homes yet again that meant changing schools again and being the new kid. First day of school I woke up took a shower put on my old clothes and walked to school. The moment I set foot on school property the teasing began. But this time was different I actually met a couple of girls that were pretty cool.
And to time jump we became best friends and we created a band. We called ourselves The Reject. We played pop rock music and well we posted our covers/music on YouTube. Now let me introduce you to my band mates. Clarke is our drummer, Octavia is the bassist, Skyler was our lead guitarist and I'm also a guitarist and the lead singer. We all sing and write our songs btw.
So one night I checked our band twitter and guess who freaking tweeted us. One freaking Direction they said that they love our covers and original songs and asked us if we wanted to be their opening act. I freaked out not only was I happy that their 1 year break was over but we were actually invited to be their opening act. I called all my band mates and told them the news and they were all in.
I responded to 1D and told them we're in. They told us they're going to pay our plane tickets and that they're happy we agreed. My foster parents were very supportive so they let me go I packed my suitcase.
The next day my foster parents Bob and Mary Stuart drove me to the airport where me and the girls met up. We said our goodbyes with our family's and boarded the plane.
