Author's Note: First off, HAPPY FORTH OF JULY!
So I'm a little bit nervous about this because I'm not sure how this story is going to turn out, like if it's going to be good or not or if you guys are going to like it. But I'm going to try it out and see how it turns out!So mostly all the original characters from Soulbound are in here but I added a few new ones! These are the people I chose to play the parts of the characters but I'm up for more choices from you guys if you aren't content with the ones I chose! If you guys have any suggestions let me know! This story is starting off where we left off in Soulbound by the way. I changed it up a bit, but it's basically the same.
As the story goes on I might add more characters, but as for now, I hope you enjoy my story! And now, without further adieu, I present to you,
Far From Love
~Her relishing reflection blurred threw the viewing portal until it became in full resolution. Lucas almost fell back in shock. The shine from Sky's hair was so luscious and smooth that it glistened when the small break of light from the window smothered it ever so slightly. Her eyes were so intensely blue that Lucas could've sworn he saw his reflection in that comforting pool of blue she embraced. His hand reached out for hers but he hesitantly pulled it back, cradling it in the other palm.
Sky was carefully gripping a square box of different potions and mixtures under her shaken fingers. The sound of glass clinking against each other was kind of soothing to Lucas, but he prefers the sound of glass shattering better. "Miss me?" He spoke with a satisfying grin.
As if she was trapped in a freezer, her body fell cold, feeling the invisible bits of frost slowly bite up her arms and legs, numbing her skin so vigorously. She quickly placed the box below her feet, right onto the cement floor. Her fingers lightly massaged the sides of her forehead, brushing some of her long brown curls to the side. "No! Lucas, get out of my head!"
Sky heard him sneer before shaking his head. "Fat chance Summerstone"
"I swear if you don't get out of my head right now-"
"You'll what- cast a spell on me? How do you plan to do that when I'm in your head? Your a minor sky, you're not classified enough to cast such a spell, let alone the fact that I can control all your movements, with me around, you wouldn't be able to lift a finger!"
She felt her finger fall numb, steady and restless as a fallen leaf, watching Lucas trying to prove his point. "What do you want?" Sky beefed.
"You look beautiful Sky" he spoke ignoring her.
"How do you- how do you see me?"
"With the viewing portal of course!"
Sky's ears dreaded the sound of her own heartbeat each time it clashed vigorously harder against her chest. If her mind wasn't so drowned in the pool of her own thoughts, she probably would of heard Lucas's as well.
"What do you think my plan is when I rule sky? After you die that is"
"You kill everyone in Corvus?" She spoke, reaching for the box of potions once again, holding it firmly in against her chest, feeling a little bit empowered that Lucas doesn't know what she's up to, to save herself . But she knew she doesn't have much time.
"That's it? That's all you think I can accomplish? C'mon sky I know your a lot smarter than that, you and I both know the possibilities are endless! Why just stop at one pop of color when there is a whole pallet of colors to choose and mix from?"
The way sky batted her mascara covered eyelashes was so magnificent to Lucas while he waited for her response. She stared back at the dark wall, observing the different shapes of chips in the paint. "There's only a limited amount of colors to choose and mix from on one canvas. The variety of colors will soon end eventually, then what do you do?"
"Pick a new canvas to work on", it doesn't just have to be you and Corvus you know sky, plus with all the new colors I've created I'll be unstoppable!"
It was dead silent for a while. Both of them could tell each of them were thinking, thinking long and hard. "How's chase doing by the way?" Lucas began playing with the hem of his shirt. "Oh that's right, he sacrificed himself for you. " He added. "So glad that setback is out of the way for good."
Her heart sank like an anchor, skin shook like it was being electrocuted. The warmth of her body keeping her alive began to fade, feeling like she was drowning in ice water. "You are the most despicable human being on earth!" She screamed into the dim space of nothingness.
And out of nowhere he asked a question he already knew the answer to. "Why don't you love me Sky?"
The heat being brought down upon her cheeks allowed them to simmer into a fare pinkish red. "You're kidding, right? You murdered my parents! And chase has died cause of you, and if you haven't realized already, much more blood is going to be spilt, especially in your hands."
His dragged out breaths took hold of the silence, replacing it completely, And for just a short moment, she could feel the wet breath slide down her neck.
"Stephen King once said: Murder is like potato chips, you can't stop with just one."She threw her head slightly back in pure disgust, but also in fear. "What is wrong with you?!"
There was a misty like thickness that intoxicated the air room. The walls that Sky's once icy blue eyes were so locked into seemed to be closing in on her, almost melting. All she could think of was what was becoming of her. Anxiety? Stress? Fear? She couldn't decide.
"I'm coming for you sky. . . ."
"No, I don't think so" she snapped.
"And why not?"
"Because I'll-I'll-I'll-"
"You'll what? Round up all of your pathetic mates at Corvus to protect you? I don't think that's an option sky, there's just not enough time. . ."
"What do you mean, not enough time?"
"You see Summerstone. . . I'm a lot closer than you think."
She grasped her wrist a lot harder now, watching the irritating flow of blood reach the fingers of her clenched fists, turning her knuckles a pure white. She threw herself into the arms of the darkness in a heartbeat, feet thumping in between each floorboard she stomped onto.
Her head wiped back and forth, consumed by the paranoia Lucas was embracing onto her. Each small noise of either something falling or being hit did not settle well in her stomach. She was mortality trapped and terrified in her own paranoid thoughts. "Don't you dare come near me or anyone, or else!"
"Don't worry everyone else will get there's first."
Deep breathes staggered in the lungs of sky. All her eyes could do was just glare around the room. There were multicolored boxes surrounding her everywhere, all smack against the wall, perfectly aligned with each other, each filled with different mixtures and potions she didn't notice when she first arrived here.
She remembered all the spells she casted before, but she knew even if she could get to Lucas and cast a spell, he would immediately pull a reverse spell on her.
One more look at the boxes, and in a moment, they were gone. Her focus was on the doors now. "But I just don't get it. You have your ultimate power, a huge hand to people's suffering. . ." Sky began while opening and locking millions of doors that might have Lucas standing behind of, that is until they were all locked. "What more can you possibly want?"
"To be completely honest with you, the question you should be asking yourself is. . .did you just lock me in...or out?"
