Her words replay in my head

Frozen with fear, my eyes wander down.

She's right.

Tears escape my eyes and plunge to the ground

'You have zero friends'

I stare, taking it all it.

'You stupid insecure, child'

I breathe. Im ready.

'Do it. I dare you'

My foot hovers over the edge. "I'm ready"

I breathe in heavily, my last breath.

"EMILY??"

I whip my head around, my cheeks stained with tears

"What- what the hell are you doing!?"

"I-i" I can't stop now. I can't say goodbye, I can't. "See ya later" I say.my foot once again hovers over the egde. I sniffle, my tears streaming down my face. Footsteps coming towards me. I don't acknowledge them. The cool breeze running across my face. I jump, ready to hit the ground. Ready for the air to smash against my face as I rocket to the ground, but it doesn't. Instead I'm hanging. A hand wrapped around my wrist, nails digging into my skin. "I hate you..." I whisper, my body hanging from the top of the roof. "I fucking hate you!!" I say looking at her. My best friend. Tears are in her eyes. This was my chance. She pulls me up. I'm silent. "You love me" she says. I'm silent. "Emily, look at me." I hang my head low. I'm ashamed. I fall to the ground. A cloud of dust surrounds us both. She pulls my head up. Keeping her hands on my chin she whispers "she's a bitch. And she's missing out. Your an amazing friend and she's gonna lose you. Its not your fault. Why would you do this. Just over some stupid bully. Youre nice. You're awesome. I swear to you its not your fault. it's not, you said I love you and if she can't realize that you can say, I love you, in a friend way that's to bad for her. I love you. Please remember that" she slowly sits on her knees and wraps a warm hug around me. "I love you so much okay. More than the stars in the sky" she sniffles. She crying too. I look into her glossy blue eyes. "I love you too" I say. I break down in her arms, my body wracked with sobs. "Shhhh let it all out hun." She says rubbing my back. "Im- I'm I'm so sorry! I didn't know what I was thinking I just, I couldn't take it." I say between sobs "well I'm here so its okay." I sob still, my head burried in the crook of her neck. "I uh kinda got your neck wet." I say, my words muffled. She chuckles. "That way best friends are for, eh?" "Yes" I reply. "Thank you so much" I say, trying to hold in my tears
