20 Facts + Some Hugs ;)

Hey guys! So I was tagged by the AMAZING Dreamer_Kay96 to do these 20 facts. This is a great way to get to know me, and I thought it would maybe help me connect with my readers a little more. So let me know if you can relate! 

WHALECOME TO MAH CRAZINESS!!!

1. I'm a recovering suicidal self/harmer. Please notice the "recovering" part because I'm definitely not fully recovered. I have been in my "emo phase" (for lack of better words) for about 2 years. I am depressed a lot of the time, but not as much as I used to be. I see a councelor every 2 weeks, which has helped me a lot.

2. I LOVE animals! I volunteer at a horse ranch called Bit O' Heaven, the local SPCA, and the local Zoo. Horses are my favorite animals. I really like lions and dogs.

3. Batman is my favorite hero. I love the mysteriousness of how he leads a double life and doesn't get found out, plus he has no actual superpowers, so imo he is more heroic than other super heroes in that respect.

4. I suffer from Nightmare Parasomnia. Basically I have nightmares a lot and I often wake up yelling, crying, or screaming. I talk in my sleep all the time and sometimes sleepwalk. That's why I'm usually a night owl and very sleep deprived. I fall asleep in class a lot....(sorry teachers)

5. I AM OBSESSED WITH HUGS! Hugs make me feel safe and loved and I don't get very many because I don't have a lot of friends in real life. The best place to get free hugs is at Hume Lake Christian Camp in California. I go there once a year with my church. This year I get to go twice! My school also does trips to Hume. The people there are so nice and it's like one big family. I always look forward to the plethora of hugs I'll get there. Oh and btw...*hugs* :D

6. My biggest fear is losing the people I love. I've lost a lot in my short almost 18 years of life. My biological parents were never married. My dad committed suicide when I was 4. My brother and I were separated when I was 2 because our mom beat us and was addicted to drugs and alcohol. He was adopted in another state, I was adopted by my nanna and her husband when I was 9. My papa was her ex husband, he took care of me while I was in foster care. He passed away when I was 15. I call my nanna and her husband Mom and Dad now. My uncle (dad's brother) just recently passed away and so did the dog that my parents have had since I was two ( you can see the story of my uncle and my dog in my Poetic Pain poem book if you're curious). So, because of all this loss, I always fear who I may lose next...

7. I've been riding horses since I was 7. I absolutely adore horses. At Bit O' Heaven, I work with and ride an Arabian named K.C. His owner doesn't have time for him and he said that I can do whatever I want with K.C. So basically I have a horse without the cost! Another horse I work with is Molly. She can't be ridden because she has a double rib cage. She's very picky about the people she likes and she hates men. She only listens to two people: the owner of the ranch and me. I am the only volunteer that she has bonded with. She will tolerate other women, but she doesn't nuzzle them or play with them like she does with me. 

8. I've fed PB&J sandwiches to bears! They are a special treat for the Bears where I volunteer, at the local zoo called California Living Museum (CALM). I get to make diets and feed, pass out ice blocks when it's hot, clean out and spray down the dens and cages, and hold or pet some of the (non poisonous and non dangerous) animals. It is really quite an experience!

9. I am 5'5" (pretty average, I guess). I used to wish that I was really tall, but now I wish I was a bit shorter... Don't ask me why xD

10. I want to be either a Marine Biologist or an FBI agent. I'm really interested in how dolphins and whales thrive (how they communicate, when and where they migrate, what they eat, etc.) I am also in love with crime shows and am interested in doing some of the same things they do in CSI and NCIS.
