"What time is it?" I ask Jackson and Chase out of the blue.
"Almost six why?" Chase asks.
"Mmm...dinnertime. " I rub my hands together. "What are they serving tonight?"
"Urm...pizza hopefully." Chase awkwardly stares at me. He's probably wondering why I just suddenly asked I random question. Honestly I'm wondering that too.
"Let's go." I say and ten minutes later we are in the cafeteria.
Jackson looks at the menu on the wall for tonight. "PIZZA!" He growls and ditches my wheelchair.
"I'm still here!" I shout stranded on the middle of the lunchroom.
"Oops." He walks back over. I laugh at him.
"Would you really ditch me?" I ask him as he rolls me to the lunch line.
"Urm...probably not." He looks blankly at me. I move to slap him, but I move my rib and cry out. I bite my lip to keep from crying. Forgot about the broken ribs. My entire chest cries out in pain.
"Princess, you OK?" Jackson sounds nervous and worried.
"No." I say and a tear falls down my cheek. Oh my gosh. Broken ribs are the worst. My entire chest aches. I sigh.
Jackson looks at me. "When I get my hands on the people who shot you I -"
I cut him off. "I don't know what I'll do, why I'll do it, but I'm coming and they should know." I say my voice shakes, but it is strong. Just like I will be when I'm healed.
