Aria Smith is a rebel who comes from a broken home. Her father left her when she was 8. Her mom works 2 jobs to make ends meet. Aria doesn't do well with confrontation or feelings. All of that was taken from her the minute her father left.
-
She heard a knock at the door. She opened the door having no fear of who could behind that door. Elie stormed in like it was her own home."What's wrong dimples?" Aria asked noticing the look on her face.
"My mother is what happened! I told her what I don't want in my life and she basically told me that no matter what I say I'm gonna end up like them." Elie said pacing the room back and forth.
"Dimples you don't need to listen to them to know that you can be whatever you want." Aria said being supportive.
"I need a drink." She went into the kitchen in search for liquor. "Where does your mom keep the booze?" Elie asked.
Aria got up and went into a random cupboard and pulled out cheap liquor. But hey it did the job.
Elie grabbed a bottle of wine and started drinking it straight from the bottle. "I mean who the hell gave her the right to choose my life?!" Elie said entaged.
"I think she did when she gave birth to you." Aria said sarcastically. "And Elie be grateful that you have two parents who care." Aria said with a hint of sadness.
"Oh my..." Elie closed her mouth feeling like such a bitch. "Aria I'm such an ass."
"Hey it's fine." Aria said putting on her fakest smile.
Silence filled the room
"I talked to him."
Silence found itself back in the presence of them once again.
"Please tell me by him you mean anyone else but your dead beat dad." Elie said in a disappointed tone.
Aria looked down giving the indication that it was her father.
"Aria why would you talk to him after he left you behind?" Elie asked confused.
"Because Elie he's my dad." Aria said trying to defend her actions.
"Aria you came to me and cried when he left you and you never cry. I don't want to see him show an interest and then all of sudden disappear and hurt you again." Elie said.
"Elie I understand you don't want me to get hurt but if I don't do this I will hate myself for not trying." Aria explained.
Elie got a phone call. "It's my mother." She said to Aria. She excused herself outside to take the call.
Aria sat on the counter and grabbed the bottle of wine Elie was just drinking and drank as much as she could before she inevitably had to breathe.
Elie stormed back in with an irritated expression on her face. "Let's go."
"Go where?" Aria asked confused.
"I don't know somewhere, anywhere." Elie said in frustration.
"Why don't we just go to 'Red's'?"Aria suggested.
Elie nodded and grabbed her keys. 'Red's' was this diner that the group hung out at. They got to Red's and as soon as they got out the car Aria got a call. She looked at the number with a strange face. "I'll meet you inside." She told Elie.
Elie nodded and walked in without her.
Aria picked up the phone, "Hello?"
"Aria, hey honey it's me. It's your dad."
